Creating a culture which facilitates the further participation of women in all aspects of the sport

Karting is a sport that is truly mixed and open to all, which has enabled many women to compete at all levels of the sport throughout Australia and they’ve also been involved behind the scenes as well. The Karting Australia Women in Karting Program has been developed to further enhance the fact that the sport of karting is open to women in all aspects of the sport, whether as competitors, officials, managers or mechanics.

Girls Race Too Liaisons Jess, Emma and Sheree are at the F1 Australian Grand Prix this weekend at the Karting Australia display to promote Karting to all who attend this massive event.

They made a visit to In Her Corner – a collaboration between Engineers Australia and the Australian Grand Prix Corporation, in celebration of International Women’s Day, with the aim of inspiring the next generation of engineers.

Girls Race Too is a program that also aims to celebrate and showcase what is possible for girls and women in karting clubs across Australia. The aim is for girls and women to be inspired by the stories they see and hear and come along and be part of it.
