⚽ INTRODUCING NORTHERN GOLD COAST FOOTBALL CLUB ⚽

A new chapter for football on the Northern Gold Coast begins in 2027.

We are proud to officially announce the launch of Northern Gold Coast Football Club — a new club established to represent our region and provide a stronger pathway for talented young footballers across the Northern Gold Coast.

Northern Gold Coast will become the new Academy club, providing a dedicated pathway for players wanting to develop and compete at Academy level. This will also include our FQPL3 Men's and Women's teams.

Importantly, Coomera Football Club isn’t going anywhere.

Coomera FC will continue as the heart of our local football community, competing in the South Coast competitions and providing opportunities for community players of all ages and abilities.

The new structure will see Northern Gold Coast sit above Coomera FC as the Academy pathway, allowing us to strengthen both areas and provide clear opportunities for players as they progress through their football journey.

This is about creating something bigger for our region.

⚽ A stronger Academy pathway
⚽ Greater opportunities for Northern Gold Coast players
⚽ A distinct high-performance football identity
⚽ Strong community clubs underneath the Northern banner
⚽ A pathway that allows players to progress while staying connected to their local community

The Northern Gold Coast continues to grow, and we believe our young footballers deserve a pathway and identity that truly represents their region.

This is only the beginning

Coomera FC Academy 2026 Review

Thank you to all of our Academy Members for a hugely successful season which sees our program upgraded to FQ Academy Silver status for 2027.
The scale of development for our players has been recognised under the high retention numbers and delivering our playing style on the field.

This success of this delivery includes:
- Our Double Grand Finals achievement, based on five teams from the Girls & Boys Academy making the academy finals this season.
- Our Academy Juniors reaching 3x Grand Finals at State Level through Winterfest with our U11 Boys claiming the Championship;
- Our inaugural Girls Academy Season where we are one of few clubs capable of fielding all teams within the female academy program;
- And our Academy Boys rolling into their second season of the new club development plan with 91% retention, recording a relative club-championship amount of competition points across the U13-18s to prove consistent playing style and player development.

We acknowledge all supporting staff and services including Ryan Taylor Physiotherapy for triage and strength and conditioning programmes, P3 Recovery for player recovery support, Learn Matrix for innovative educational resources, our contributing Sponsors, and of course all the coaches who applied themselves to our program and enhanced their education throughout the season to support the members.

We finally thank the members for the support and impact we have had this year. Your conduct and positive attitudes have made our club an enjoyable and commendable experience for visiting teams and our players.

Thank you for a fantastic season in 2026. We look forward to seeing you as we begin 2027 preparation starting October 12th.
Please use our EOI Post to register your interest for an invite!

🥈⚽ COOMERA FC ACHIEVES SILVER ACADEMY STATUS! ⚽🥈

We are incredibly proud to announce that Coomera Football Club has officially progressed to Silver Status within the Football Queensland Academy program for 2027.

This is a fantastic achievement for our club and recognition of the continued development of our Academy program.

Over the past few years, we have worked hard to strengthen our football program, improve our coaching environment and provide better development opportunities and pathways for our players.

Achieving Silver Status is a credit to everyone who has contributed to that journey — our players, coaches, Technical Directors, staff, volunteers and, importantly, the families who continue to support our club and our programs.

While we are extremely proud of this achievement, we also see it as another step forward. We will continue working to raise the standard of our program and provide the best possible football environment for players on the Northern Gold Coast.

A huge congratulations and thank you to everyone who has played a part in getting Coomera FC to this point.

CHAMPIONS!

Our U18 Academy League boys have finished their season in the best possible way, claiming a 1–0 Grand Final victory in another incredibly close contest.

A massive congratulations to all the players and coaching staff. The work that has gone into this season has been rewarded with a Grand Final Championship! 🏆

Thank you to all of the families, friends and Coomera supporters who got behind the boys throughout the season and especially on Grand Final night.
