Busy factories and shipyards regrettably call a halt to the Gold Coast International Boat Show and Marine Expo.
The organising committee of the Gold Coast International Boat Show and Marine Expo has announced they are calling a halt to the show. Owing to escalating demand for new boats, shipyard re-fit, maintenance and repair works coupled with the inability to expand the current footprint of the burgeoning event, the show will be halted effective 2018.

Following the unprecedented success of this year's Gold Coast International Boat Show & Marine Expo, we have again donated thousands of dollars, which to-date totals at $100,000 proudly donated to Queensland charity organisations.

This year we watched the masters take on the apprentices in the TAFE Gold Coast's Battle of the Boat Builders on Saturday 18th March. During this year’s Battle the trade teachers pitted their skills against their students to compete for the honour of being crowned Champion Boat Builders, with the students coming out on top in 2017.

Boating enthusiasts turned out in record numbers in 2017 with over 23,000 visitors from around Australia and the world streaming through our welcome gates for a massive $150 million showcase, staged for the first time over three days in March.
Event & Marketing Manager Emma Brown said thousands of boating families were genuinely excited to ‘see it all first’ at the Gold Coast Boat Show created specifically for families who just love the boating life.
