Event #692 at Coomera saw something we haven’t seen for a very long time.
First time parkrunner Joey Tikitau took it out in P1.
He may have been lucky that most of the Highland Run Crew weren’t in attendance but a win is a win!
There were in fact 16 first timers today and 18 PB’s recorded out of our 111 attendees.
We find this time of year is great for PB’s with the cooler weather.

A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 7am in Tallowwood Park, Upper Coomera. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.�
Weekly, 5km, timed, free running for all. parkruns are friendly events organised by fantastic local volunteers. Linking all parkruns around the world! Taking part is easy – just register online at www.parkrun.com.au in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first parkrun. The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once! Then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there!
Timekeeper required!!
Hey Team, we know you all love to attend your parkrun at Coomera….BUT!
If we don’t have a Timekeeper it doesn’t happen!
At the moment that is the situation.

What a fantastic fresh morning.
You were keen to go, if it hadn't been for the waffling on Run Director. 😁
We had 118 of you grace us with your presence this morning, of which 12 of you for a first time at Coomera parkrun. Thank you so much for joining us. I am sure you will be back, and those of you with your local parkrun, will no doubt this one your home run now. Who wouldn't? It is after all world famous.
We had 14 PB's today! A champion effort and incredible effort as always. What you going to be like as it gets cooler?
We had one very quietly kept milestone today. 100 parkruns! I'll keep your name quiet as there was no huge commotion at the start, but a big congrats.
As always, a massive thank you to our wonderful volunteers, Matt L, Dave H, Ava M, Aaron R, Chantal B, Julie C, Stefan M, and Justin C. Can't do parkrun without you guys.
