2026 Club Championships

The 2026 club championship have been very well support this year. The men played 4 rounds and ladies 3.

Finishing on Fathers Day the results are as followed.

Ladies Club Champion for 2026 Zoe Holcombe and B Grade Champion Jan Keppie.

Handicap winners were Jane McWhirter and Trish Lithgow.

The 2026 Men’s Club Champion is MR beaten on a Count Back JASON MILLS. This was a thrilling A grade battle with Jason and Brad Weatherall going hit for hit in the last round. Jason won by 1 shot. Congratulations Jason.

B Grade was another battle, after Yogi having a 85 on the Saturday he was maybe 4 shots in front of Butter. On the last day Butter was too good and caught Yogi in the final 9holes to win by 1 shot from Aden who had a great round.

C Grade saw a good role up of players. But with good form all the way through the 4 rounds, Damien Bennell took the win. Congratulations. The huge breaky on Fathers day obvisuly also helped you. Runner up was Dave Bunyan.

Handicap winners were: A Grade Mick Resch, B Grade Jurgen Hagemann and C Grade Craig Bennell.

We would like to thank PURSEHOUSE RURAL for the sponsorship over our championship. This is a great incentive to get out there for the 4 days of golf. We look forward to have you on board for 2027.

A special mention also goes to Lou Dowsett who on the 13th had a HOLE IN ONE!!! Pretty exciting stuff!!!

Burmac Insurance MM

We had an excellent day put on by Chris Mack from Burmac Insurance last Saturday for our September MM. over 30 ppl joined in the day.

The winners for the day:

Womens Jan Keppie had a great day out on the course and had 71 nett followed by Trish on 74. Ball winner was Zoe.

In the mens the winner was Yogi with a nett 66, followed by Jason Mills 68 and 3rd Mick Resch 69. Excellent scores by these three. Ball pool – cant remember,sorry. 😑

NTPs Zoe, Jan, Brad, Ashley and Stan.

The Shoot out went to Neal.

Best dressed were Sandra and Mick🤴🫅

Everyone won a prize that stayed back for presentation also.

Everyone that played on the day stayed around for a few more drinks and talked about how good the day was. THANK YOU CHRIS MACK. It was a very generous prize pool and we all had a great day out. Hopefully see you again in 2027!

Championships
Round 1 Ladies
A small contingent of ladies took to the course last Saturday to start the 2026 Champs.
Zoe had another good win, and took the daily sponsor trophy with a net 74. Jan took runner up with nett 79. Ball winner was Jane.
Zoe leads A Grade and Jan B and Trish C. B Garde is VERY CLOSE.

Round 1 Mens
Millsy is still playing very consistently but was beaten on a count back from Graeme Keppie with nett 70. Balls went to Geoff 71, Damien 75, Brad, Yogi and Salty all on 77.

Round 2 Mens
(And I hope these are right) Yogi had a nett 71 to take the win and runner up was Jason Mills AGAIN! Balls went to Damien 73, Butter 73, Brad 75 and Neal 75?
So the wrap up.
A Grade Brad Weatherall and Jason Mills are both tied.
B Grade VERY Close – Butter and then Graeme then Yogi and Aden
C Grade Damien and then David.
