WE ARE MOVING!!! (plus a discount code at the end of the post!)

We are SUPER excited to announce that we will be moving to a new property on the 5th of October!
Our new property is located in Kiamba, and backs onto Mapleton National Park. It is significantly larger than our current property, and offers some absolutely beautiful trails in the national park!!

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR OUR RIDERS?

For those of you from Gympie, Noosa & surrounds- the drive will be slightly longer. It is about 30-35 minutes from Noosa, whereas our old property was 15-20.
For those of you from the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast and surrounds- the drive will be about 30 minutes faster!

Until the 4th, trail rides will run as normal from our Cooroibah property. All rides after the 4th will be ran from our Mapleton property!

LESSONS- We will have a new instructor on board (intro posts to come soon!) and will be able to offer lessons once again, after the 4th of October. Lessons are available to book on our website now!

TRAIL RIDES- most of our trail rides will stay the same. We will be able to offer some trails on- property, and the rest will be in the national park.
Our off-property trail rides will remain the exact same.
The only changes are to our lake rides, as we will no longer be able to ride directly there. They have now been moved to our Off-Property section, and will be held at Lake Weyba.

Any trail ride bookings already made for after the 4th of October will stay the same, but please get in touch if you have any further questions!

Beginner- Novice 2 hour trail ride, 8 spots left! 8am, beat the heat!

We have just had a group cancel their booking, so we have a rare weekend ride completely available!
There are no more weekend dates for 2 hour rides until NOVEMBER.

$180 per rider, suitable for all levels of riders! Riders who have experience and are confident & competent will still be given opportunities to trot & canter, however the ride is overall a slower pace than our intermediate- experienced rides.

JOIN OUR TEAM- NOW HIRING A RIDING INSTRUCTOR!

The role is part time to start with- 2 days a week, 4-8 hours a day depending on bookings. One weekend day & one weekday, we are happy to work with you on what days!
In a couple of months (or sooner!) The role will likely move into a full time role. If you're only available part time, still apply.

No qualifications needed, just teaching experience.
We have a variety of riders coming through, from beginner children to experienced adult riders.
Beginner riders are started on the lunge line to learn an independent seat and soft, quiet hands.

Beginners start in private lessons, and can progress to semi-private/ group lessons as they learn.

We are looking for someone who is able to explain things in "plain english" to all riders, including riders with autism and ADHD.

Someone who understands horse biomechanics and how to get a horse to work in a way that is beneficial to them would be fantastic, however we can train this part!

Our instructors tack up their own horses, so applicants must be able to groom & tack up a horse efficiently without cutting corners.

DO WE ALLOW OUR HORSES TO SNACK ON TRAILS?
The short answer- yes!!

The long answer-
Horses are built to be eating for up to 18 hours a day. When we take them on rides, that means that we're cutting into their eating time!
Grazing helps prevent ulcers, keep teeth healthy, and promotes relaxation.

We are sitting on a prey animal's back, and they're keeping us safe and giving us a fun, relaxing ride. I think that they deserve a reward for doing that!

Allowing horses to graze is also a great way to get a tense or stressed horse to relax. Horses are just like us and hold tension in their jaws, eating helps to release some of that tension.

I want my horses to enjoy their day at work, just as much as I do! If that means stopping for 5 minutes to let them fill their bellies, then that's a very easy thing for us to do.

And yes- they can eat with bits in! On our longer rides we do always offer the horses one break for at least 30 minutes in which they get to eat without their bridles on.

As long as the horses are being polite (no snatching reins or dragging riders off course for grass!) Then we absolutely allow them to graze when we give them the chance.
