🏆 A HUGE ACHIEVEMENT FOR GEELONG GALAXY JUNIORS! 💙💜

Football Victoria has announced a new Club Championship model for junior girls football from Season 2027, where the results of a club’s U13, U15 and U17 teams will be combined to measure the strength & performance of the entire junior program.

So we took a look at what that model would mean if it was applied to the current 2026 Girls Victorian Youth Premier League season…

🔥 GEELONG GALAXY ARE THE #1 RANKED JUNIOR SYSTEM 🔥

And with just one round remaining, based on the current combined results, Galaxy cannot be overtaken.

That is something our entire club should be incredibly proud of.

This isn’t the success of just one team.

It represents three age groups, our players, coaches, team managers, families, volunteers & an entire junior football program working together.

Our U13s, U15s and U17s have collectively produced the results that would place Geelong Galaxy at the very top of a Club Championship table.

For a club that continues to develop and grow year after year, it is another indication that Geelong Galaxy is not simply competing at this level — we are becoming one of Victoria’s leading junior girls football programs.

And most importantly, we continue to provide young female footballers from Geelong and the surrounding region with a genuine opportunity to develop, compete and progress.

LAST HOME GAME! 💙💛⚽️

It’s the last home game and second-last match of the season for our YPLG teams!

With plenty still to play for, all three teams have the opportunity to cement their positions on the ladder and finish off what has been an amazing season. It’s also a chance to celebrate the huge amount of work our coaching staff, players, parents and supporters put in every single week.

Come down to Bannockburn Reserve, enjoy a great day of football and help us showcase the talent, effort and progress of our U13, U15 and U17 teams.

Our VPLW Senior Women take on Brunswick Juventus at home today in the final round of the season — and there is plenty on the line! 💙💛⚽️

It all comes down to a massive 90 minutes, with four clubs still in the mix for one promotion place into NPLW.

Our Senior Women are one of those teams with a chance, and we’d love to see all Galaxy players, families, friends and supporters get down to Bannockburn and get behind the team from 3:00pm.

But before the big 3pm kick-off, there is a full day of Galaxy football to enjoy and celebrate. Our Junior Girls are all in action throughout the morning, followed by our Reserve Women at 12:30pm, who also play their final game of the season.

Our Reserves have done an amazing job this year and deserve plenty of recognition for the work, commitment and effort they have put in across the season. So come down early, support our juniors, stay for the Reserves, celebrate their season, and then help us build a huge atmosphere for the Seniors at 3pm.

Whatever happens today, it is a day to celebrate the efforts of all our Galaxy teams and what has been another fantastic season for the club. The Senior team is primed, ready and looking forward to putting on a great spectacle in front of a big home crowd. 🔥

Geelong Galaxy Junior Girls have a tough assignment at home today against Spring Hills! ⚽️💙💛

With just three rounds remaining, our girls will be looking to finish the season strongly and get the results that reward all the hard work the players and coaches have put in throughout the year. It starts today at Bannockburn!

It’s also a great lead-in to a huge afternoon for the club. Come down and support our juniors, then stick around for our Senior Women at 3:00pm as they head into the final day of their season with a chance of promotion still alive! 🔥

Geelong Galaxy is now seeking Expressions of Interest for Junior Coaching positions for Season 2027.

⚽ U13, U15 & U17 Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches

We are looking for passionate, committed coaches who want to be part of a strong female football program focused on player development, team development, positive culture and clear pathways into senior football.

Geelong Galaxy continues to build one of the region’s strongest female football pathways and is looking for quality coaches to help take our junior program forward in 2027.

GEELONG GALAXY UNITED FC | SENIOR COACHING STAFF EOI – 2027

Geelong Galaxy United FC is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced and ambitious coaches interested in joining our Senior Women’s coaching program for Season 2027.

As we continue to strengthen the pathway between our successful Junior Girls NPL program and Senior Women’s teams, we are looking to add quality people and coaches who can contribute to the continued development of our players and football program.

We welcome expressions of interest from coaches interested in roles including:

Senior/Reserve VPL women Assistant Coaches with a strict focus on development / specialist coaching roles who may be interested in joining the program within a senior coaching capacity.

Our aim is to build the strongest possible coaching team around our Senior and Reserve squads, with clearly defined roles based on experience, strengths and the overall needs of the program.

We are looking for coaches who:
-Have a genuine passion for developing female footballers
-Create positive, professional and high-performance environments
-Value player development alongside team performance
-Work collaboratively within a broader club coaching structure
-Want to contribute to a genuine pathway from Junior NPL through to Senior Women’s football

Geelong Galaxy has established a strong reputation for developing emerging female players, with a proven pathway through our junior program and into senior football.

With planning already underway for Season 2027, we would love to hear from quality coaches who believe they could add value to the next stage of the Galaxy program.
