Lend a Marquee, Support Grand Final Day

As we will not have the use of our current pavilion for the Semi-Finals and Grand Finals on August 15 and 22, we are hoping to borrow some marquees to provide extra shelter and amenities.

Any type of marquee is welcome but those with walls are especially appreciated, to be placed along the fence lines. Help will be needed to erect the marquees each day and to pull them down at the end of play. Marquees can then be stored in the shipping containers which will be placed at Stead Park for storing club and Association equipment.

New Scoreboards a Welcome Addition to Our Hockey Facility

Exciting things are happening, with a new Scoreboard being installed for the Lynette Williams Pitch 2. It will be the same as the one being installed on the Jim Kirk pitch and will complement both fields.

Hockey Geelong sincerely thanks Development Victoria for providing such an amazing additional facility. Viewing matches from the first level of the new pavilion, spectators will be able to see two “state of the art” scoreboards for their pleasure.

The support of the City of Greater Geelong Council, Sport and Recreation Victoria and the State Government is also greatly appreciated.

Four Rounds to Go – A Battle at the Top for the Vic :League 1 Men!

With just four rounds remaining before finals, every match is becoming more important.

This week features a blockbuster clash as Old Xaverians in 1st place takes on Hockey Geelong Sharks in 2nd in a battle of the ladder leaders.

🏑 Tuesday July 28 at 7.30 pm

The last clash between these two teams resulted in a 1-1 draw so expect plenty of intensity, skill and determination as both teams fight for the valuable points and the chance to strengthen their position at the top.

Hockey Geelong have found the goals on numerous occasions this year, scoring 72 goals while only allowing 21 against.

Can the Sharks repeat the results of their 2024 Premiership year?

Rug up and head out to Stead Park to watch this high quality game.
