It's in the community hall at number 24. Senior Classes are run on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6pm - 730pm. We also have a junior class that goes from 5-6:15pm Wednesday's and is a great way for the more junior students to find their feet. The classes cost $5 per student per class but you are welcome to try our the first 2 weeks for free. Come along on a Wednesday to see how it all works and your children are welcome to join in. Our classes are run by most senior instructor Shihan Scott McQuaid. (5th dan black belt. Over 30 years training in Kyokushin)

We hope you can make it and I am sure your children will enjoy the training. Please feel free to call if you have anything else you would like to know.

❤️ There’s something pretty special about watching your kids find the courage to step up and have a go. 🥋👊

Our Kick Start Kids Ollie, Nadia, Zander and Arlo did exactly that at the Regional Non Contact Tournament in Winchelsea over the weekend.

Most competitors of the kids in the 6–7-year-old age group came from Corio Kyokushin, which was an awesome sight for our dojo!

For parents, these are the moments you remember. Seeing them build confidence, support each other and discover what they’re capable of makes us incredibly proud.

Well done Ollie, Nadia, Zander and Arlo. You all represented yourselves and our dojo brilliantly! 👏🥋

Little Ant came away with a well-earned WIN! 🏆🔥 Beefy, Mitch and Claudia all fought hard, each winning valuable experience against tough opposition.

What Does OSU Really Mean?

In Kyokushin Karate, OSU is far more than a word. It's the spirit that guides how we train, how we treat others, and how we face challenges both inside and outside the dojo.

Every greeting is an OSU.
Every response to an instructor is an OSU.
Every challenge met in training is answered with an OSU.

Even after receiving a strong technique from a training partner or opponent, a karateka responds with OSU as a sign of respect, humility, and recognition of their opponent's skill.

At its core, OSU represents perseverance under pressure. It reminds us to keep going when training gets tough, to stay disciplined when progress is slow, and to remain humble no matter how much we achieve.

When we bow and say OSU as we enter the dojo, we show respect for: 🥋 Our instructors
🥋 Our fellow students
🥋 The dojo itself
🥋 The traditions of Kyokushin passed down through generations

More importantly, we make a commitment to ourselves to keep learning, keep improving, and never give up.

OSU is respect.
OSU is discipline.

OSU is the spirit of a true karateka.

As Sosai Masutatsu Oyama taught, true strength comes not only from a powerful body, but from strong character.
