Following reports that Discovery Floats is closing, I thought I should clear things up.

Last month I experienced a health scare that forced me to pause and reassess the workload and the pressure I was under. Out of responsibility, I communicated this to customers at the time, which has understandably led to some confusion.

Since then, one of our fabulous customers has stepped forward and invested in Discovery Floats.

Their financial and management support has strengthened the business, stabilised operations, and ensured full continuity moving forward.

My health is now under control, our entire team remains in place, and production continues as normal.

Discovery Floats is here, steady, and committed to delivering the same premium quality weโ€™re known for.

If you have any questions, youโ€™re always welcome to reach out.

Itโ€™s been a huge month at Discovery Floats โœจ

Lee Anne has picked up her stunning new luxury float, Phoebeโ€™s float is on its way to New South Wales, and production here in Melbourne is running full tilt โ€” the workshop is absolutely humming.

Plenty of beautiful builds, proud handovers, and a whole lot of momentum.
Photos tell the story best, so hereโ€™s a look at what weโ€™ve been up to.

Over the past year, riders across Australia have shared what truly matters โ€” the little comforts, the towing feel, the quality, the way a float should flow for both horse and human. We listened!

Behind the scenes, weโ€™ve been quietly re designing our entire range. New specifications. Refined components. Fresh cabinetry concepts. Smarter options crafted with purpose, care, and a deep understanding of how real horse lovers travel.

What are your horses standing on?

This week alone, three horse owners shared horror stories of floor failures โ€” rotted timber, weak joins, and unsafe materials hidden beneath the surface.

Sadly, there are still float manufacturers cutting corners with substandard floors.

At Discovery Floats, every floor is built for strength and longevity:
10 mm equine rubber for comfort and grip,
19 mm plywood and 25 mm kilnโ€‘dried hardwood for structural integrity,
and 40 mm SHS steel supports for uncompromising strength.

Because your horses deserve the best foundation โ€” not a risk.
If you care for your horse, choose the float built to last.
