Spot a referee in a green shirt? Here's what it means.

Green Shirts are our newest referees, still learning on the job. Our latest group took the court for the first time on Saturday, supported by our referee supervisors and coaches.

Players, coaches and spectators: please be patient and encouraging. Every referee you've ever seen started in exactly this spot. Mistakes are part of learning, and a supportive crowd is what keeps new referees coming back.

Respect the Green Shirt.

COULD YOU BE NEXT?
We're always looking for new referees.
✔️ Aged 14+
✔️ No experience needed. We'll train you through our Referee School
✔️ Already qualified? We'd love to have you too
✔️ Paid games, flexible hours and a great team

THANK YOU, SHAWN JONES

What a season.

In his one season at the Nest, Shawn earned a spot on the Big V Division 1 Men's All-Star Five, averaging 24.6 points per game on 52.2% shooting. He finished 4th in the league in scoring, dropped multiple 30+ point games and helped lead our Division 1 Men to the finals.

His impact didn't stop on game day. Shawn coached our VJBL Under 14.6 Boys and ran clinics in local schools, giving back to the Eagles community every step of the way.

Thank you for everything, Shawn. We wish you all the best in your next chapter. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle.
