Congratulations to our 14.1 Mermaids on taking out the grand final at the Bendigo Junior Classic Tournament by 2 points!! What a performance from a talented, gritty group of girls who played with confidence, composure, and incredible teamwork when it mattered most.
We are so proud of the way you competed, supported one another, and represented Warrnambool Basketball on the big stage. This is a win to celebrate and a team to be proud of.

🕰️ Throwback Thursday!
Remember when the Bendigo Spirit came to town? Well, guess which one of our amazing coaches played for the Spirit? It was a mini reunion for Louise Brown, who once proudly wore the Bendigo Spirit jersey during her playing career. 🏀💪
Louise’s dedication to our junior programs is nothing short of incredible, especially with the Ford Aussie Hoops and representative programs. Her experience as both a Championship Player and Coach with our Big V Mermaids adds so much value to our community.
We are incredibly lucky to have Louise continuing to develop and inspire our junior ballers here in Warrnambool. Her passion for the game and support for our athletes — away with family includes supporting Jaylen (Aussie Rollers, Turkey) and Dakota Crichton (Townsville Fire) and her mini ballers within our Ford Aussie Hoops and crowned Vistoria Coach of the Year in 2024 for the Aussie Hoops — shows just how much she contributes, both on and off the court.
