Heiwa Senshi Kai Okinawan Goju Ryu - Meibukan is a Karate club. We teach a quality and effective martial art in a safe environment at a competitive price.
Teaching the Meibukan system from a background of real life self defence and traditional karate. Heiwa Senshi Kai, is Japanese for Peaceful Warrior School or Club. We teach Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate-Do, primarily that which is taught by the IMGKA. Although not affiliated with them, we do try to emulate their teachings and philosophies.

Not before time, another blog post is up on the website talking about the duality of our logo/badge. I had intended to be more regular with posts but life gets in the way sometimes, or as John Lennon said in one of his songs, "Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans.

New Blog Post about our latest grading. These kids are all quite young, but put in more than we expected!
Grading July 19 2025 - Meibukan Gojyu Ryu-Victoria It seems like only Yesterday that way had our March 2025 Grading. This grading started off at 10am when the coloured belts turned out for their boot camp style warm ups with Sensei Michael. He ran them through all manner of torture until 11am when they made their way to the hall.

Train It Like It's Real... - Meibukan Gojyu Ryu-Victoria This week went a little less intense than I would have liked. We do have a new student and she seems to be enjoying the training. She works real hard on getting things right though, so that makes each class a little brighter... 😎
