No doubt many of you have heard of the terrible accidental explosion in Lebanon that has killed many people and caused so much damage to an already damaged nation.
My friend and Shorin Kempo brother Sensei Mohammad Diab El Harake is safe but many of his friends and family are still unaccounted for.
Sensei and I have shared many experiences together over the years as we have fought side by side.
In 2016 we fought as a team in the 2016 WKO World Cup. In 2018 Sensei was part of my 5th dan grading in Okinawa.
We have supported each other's students at many international tournaments and we were both witness to Sensei Junior's 110 man Kumite.
His country was already plunged into dark times before today but this is just another blow.
I spoke with Sensei this morning and was humbled by his courage and resilience as he said "don't worry brother, we will get through this!"
