Happy Father's Day! ⛵️

Last Sunday afternoon we had an assortment of ⛵️⛵️ classes racing in the last of our winter sailing series.

Mounts Bay Sailing Club was saddened to learn that
Past Commodore Brian Mather has recently passed away.

Brian became Rear Commodore at Mounts Bay Sailing Club in 1984-85, before going on to serve as Vice Commodore in 1986-89, then as Commodore from 1989-91.

During his time as Commodore, Brian oversaw the obtaining of a new support boat called “Pamela N”, plus six new sponsored Mudlarks. His leadership helped shape our club, and he remains part of its history.

We extend our deepest sympathies to Brian's family.

Exciting news! Commodore Larry Smith has announced the club's new lift officially open for use.

⛵️ Yesterday at Mounts Bay we had the last of this years winter series racing. Great day out on the water with an assortment of classes racing.

Lift opening at 11.15am
AGM at 11.30am
Briefing at 12.15am & racing starts at 1pm

Only 36 days until the start of Mounts Bay Sailing Club's 2026/27 season⛵️ - Saturday, 3rd October 2026.

The last of the 2026 winter sailing series is on this Sunday 30th August with 12.15pm briefing and 1pm racing starts.

Commodore Larry Smith will be officially opening the club's new lift this Sunday at 11.15am.

11.15am - the official opening of the new MBSC lift 🥳
11.30am - club AGM
12.15pm - briefing for the afternoon racing
1pm - racing commences

The Muppet Show was seen training out in Matilda Bay this morning at Mounts Bay. Not long until the WA Sharpies have their Australian Sharpie Nationals at Mounts Bay Sailing Club!
