Players enjoyed a 2 person Ambrose for the 110 year Heritage Round. Pictures show Neil Haase (Midlands) sending one down the 2nd, closely watched by Mick Barnett (Buninyong) and President Russ Cartledge. While our best dressed couple, Brian Anstey and Fiona Watson were happy at presentations with their playing partners from Charlton Golf Club, Graeme and Rhonda Porter.

In the Men's section Adam Gibson and Michael Lang won the day with an impressive 7 under, nett 61.75

In the Mixed / Ladies section, Chris and Renee Van Der Horst from Ballarat Golf Club had a great even par round, nett 64.5

Join us for the inaugural Goldfields Classic, a premier three-day tournament held over the January long weekend. This Victorian Open Age Order of Merit Event will see:
🏌️ The Chris Tatt Perpetual Trophy presented to the the Men’s Champion
🏌️‍♀️ The Helen Pascoe Perpetual Trophy presented to the Women’s Champion
🏌️ A range of prizes presented in a variety of men's, women's, boy's and girl's event categories

Courses: Buninyong Golf Club (Saturday), Midlands Golf Club (Sunday), Ballarat Golf Club (Monday)

The annual presentation evening held at RACV Goldfields was a memorable event, enjoyed by both members and guests as they came together to celebrate the successes of the past year. A special thanks is extended to club sponsors, Steve and Jackie from IGA Creswick plus Liquor, for their continued and valued support of the Creswick Golf Club, along with support from RACV Goldfields Resort, their partnership is greatly appreciated and plays an essential role in the club’s success and growth.

RACV Goldfields hosted a Junior Open as part of the Victorian Order of Merit. About 70 players traveled from near and afar to participate in the event. The day started out a bit wet, but cleared to a pleasant afternoon. Congratulations to all participants, and event winners.

Creswick played host to the St Leonards golf club on Saturday. The weather was perfect and all players enjoyed the day. Once again, the team trophy was decided by the top ten scores from each side, and Creswick took out a comprehensive win.
Great scores were returned from Creswick players Rob Block 40 and Michael Peters 38, while Corey Stevens 37 and Sharon Hockley 35 were the best from the visitors.
NTP's went to Tim Kelly 3rd, S Leonard 8th, D Gray 13th and C Stevens 17th.
At the end of the game, St Leonards Captain, Neil Flemming (picture centre) presented the trophy to Rob Rosenow and Tim Kelly

The Annual visit from the Midlands Thursday BBQ boys happened last Thursday, as they traveled out to Creswick to take on the Thursday BAG (Best Average Golfers) boys. The day started with a BBQ and refreshments, as well as a bit of banter, then it was down to business. In pursuit of the honored breadboard trophy, the top ten scores from each team would be counted. The day was comprehensively won by Creswick BAG boys with an average score of 33.1 to Midlands 30.2. Chris Perry won the individual award, while Richard Castles was the best of the Midlands boys.
NTP's went to R Rosenow 3rd, S Leonard 8th, R Wiltshire 13th and 17th.
At presentations, Brian Anstey was overjoyed to receive the trophy from a very pensive Ross Wiltshire.
A great day had by all, and we look forward to the visit to Midlands in the new year

The Ladies Club Championship was completed last week with Debbie Gorin taking home the award for the third year in a row. Debbie shot a 3 round total of 267. Congratrulations Debbie.
The Vera Caddy plate is awarded to the best nett score in the Veterans, and was won this year by Rhonnie Drynne with a score of 220. A well deserved win Rhonnie.
Congratulations to all those who competed.

The final round of the Men's Club Championships was held on Saturday, that started with damp conditions, but turned out a very pleasant day. Defending Champion, Adam Gibson entered the day with a solid lead, but after a spectacular front 9 from Andrew Tonkin, the lead had narrowed to only two shots. However a couple of rough holes through 11 and 12 for Tonks, saw Gibbo able to regain a good lead and hold on to secure the title once again.
Congratulations Gibbo, and to Tonks who took out the A Grade Nett award.
In the B Grade competition, defending champion, Michael Lang, also took a good lead into the final round, with the chasers John Taylor, Rob Block and Barry Lamb not far behind. A Great round from Barry Lamb almost forced a playoff, but a long chip on the last hole cost him the opportunity and Michael Lang held on to defend his title.
Congratulations Langy, who also picked up the best Nett score by 1 stroke.
In the Veterans, Jeff Green was looking the likely winner after 2 rounds with a 6 point lead, but a great round from Rob Block on the final day saw him close the lead, but fell short by 1 point.
Jeff Green with 105 points took the title from Rob Block with 104.
