South Cronulla Bowlo

Friday saw the return of our Twilight Bowls, and what a great evening it was. It was lovely to see novice bowlers mixing it with our more experienced members, learning a few tricks along the way and judging by the laughter and banter, having a fantastic time.
Congratulations to Therese, Sally and Jo, who edged out the competition to take home the $100 prize money. Well played, ladies!
After the bowls, everyone enjoyed a few drinks and some delicious wood-fired pizza from our good friends at Pizzaiolo. A perfect way to round off the evening.
Fancy joining us next Friday? Twilight Bowls starts at 5.00pm, with plenty of fun, a friendly atmosphere and another $100 prize up for grabs. Entry costs $10 a person.
Everyone is welcome, whether you're a seasoned bowler or have never picked up a bowl in your life. Come along, give it a go and enjoy a great Friday evening with us.
Text or call Farina on 0421 618 960 to join in.
See you on the green! 💚

The Main Green is having a little holiday!
Our Main Green has had its top dressing and, thankfully, it’s already looking pretty good. The grass is popping through nicely and it’s getting greener by the day.
A big shout-out to our greenkeeper, Ryan, who is doing a fantastic job. We reckon the green is in very safe hands!
It will be out of action for another month or so, so unfortunately there’ll be no bowls on it just yet. We know… we know… try to contain your excitement!
But don’t panic, bowls hasn’t stopped! We still have two other greens ready and waiting, so there’s absolutely no excuse to stay at home.
Give the Main Green a little more time to do its thing and before long it’ll be back, looking fabulous and ready for action.
In the meantime… see you on the other greens!

WHEN THE BOWLS ARE OVER… THE SINGING BEGINS!
It’s been a little while since we’ve had one of our members step up to the microphone after a social bowling session but on Thursday, Mike decided it was time to bring back the tradition!
Following a good win out on the green, Mike treated us to a rendition of “Soldiers of the King” and, to be fair, he sang it very well and with plenty of feeling!
Well done, Mike! A great performance and a fitting way to celebrate a good day on the green.
Now the big question is…
WHO WILL BE NEXT?
We’ll be listening carefully after the next social bowls!

CONSISTENCY SINGLES FINAL
It was a battle of the Johns in the final of our Consistency Singles competition, with John Harrow taking on John Christ in what proved to be a hard-fought contest.
The Consistency Singles format is a test of both skill and accuracy, with 10 points available on each end and the competition decided by the first player to reach 145 points.
After a closely contested game, it was John Harrow who reached the winning score first to claim the title!
Congratulations to John Harrow on a fantastic performance.
And commiserations to runner-up John Christ, who put up a great fight right to the end.
Well played, Johns — a terrific final!
