Supporting Our Neighbours 💛
Many of our Pacific Swim School families will know our neighbours Kelly’s Place Childcare here in Crows Nest.
We were really sad to hear that their future is currently uncertain due to council redevelopment plans for the Hume Street site, meaning the centre may need to relocate or shutdown.
Kelly’s Place has been supporting local families for decades and is such a special part of this community. Centres like this don’t just provide childcare — they build friendships, support parents and help create the village that so many families rely on.
If you’d like to show your support, please consider signing the petition and sharing their story.
Local communities are stronger when we support the people and places that make them special 💛

🚨 NEW AT PACIFIC SWIM SCHOOL 🚨
Forgot your towel?
Don’t panic — we’ve got you covered. Literally.
We now have a towel service — all you need to do is sign out a towel at reception and bring it back cleaned and dry at your child’s next lesson.
Special thanks to Cecile Ang for folding the towels in a super fancy YouTube-approved way after watching Helen struggle with the task.
And a big shout-out to Lachie, who may or may not have been gently coerced into appearing in this photo under the threat of losing his job.
Team spirit is strong here.

💦 Why Start Your Baby in Swimming Lessons?
Because it’s so much more than just “learning to swim.”
👶 Water confidence from the very beginning
Babies who start early grow up feeling calm and secure in the water — not scared of it.
🧠 Brain development
Swimming supports coordination, balance and bilateral movement — all important for early development.
💙 Bonding time
It’s uninterrupted one-on-one time between you and your baby. No phones. No distractions. Just connection.
🛟 Early water safety awareness
While babies don’t “learn to save themselves,” they begin understanding water environments in a safe, supervised way.
😴 Better sleep (yes, really!)
Many parents tell us their little ones nap beautifully after lessons.
At Pacific Swim School, we focus on calm, nurturing, confidence-building experiences — not forced submersions or pressure.
The earlier they start, the more natural it feels 🌊
