Looking for a relaxing weekend in the forests on Sunday 16th October watching rally cars?

The MRF Tyres AKADEMOS rally are still looking for a couple of Road closure Officials, as well as 3 or 4 people (a group?) to help out at a Spectator Point - they already have the person in charge of the point.

Meeting place and time is 7:00am or later at Thornton. Last car is out of the forest by 4:30pm so not a late day (the Spectator Point clears from around 3:00pm).

We have some photos coming through this morning of the #11 Windus Motorsport Subaru that Arron Windus & Joe Brick piolted to a win at last years Akademos Rally and several fastest stage times in the Begonia Rally.

Now this car lives in NSW with Phill Pluck. He will be driving it for the first time this weekend at the Bathurst Rally. We wish him all the best with the car....and Phill if your ever thinking of selling, please contact us immediately 😂😂

After making his rallying debut only 18 months ago at the Eildon Stages, young Victorian Arron Windus has showed impressive speed and maturity netting him two wins in the competitive Victorian Rally Championship and a stint with Vauxhall in the British Junior Rally Championship earlier this year. This weekend he will make his Australian Rally Championship debut at Lightforce Rally SA.

Awesome to be here in South Australia around the Barossa Valley. Starting my first Australian Rally Championship round this weekend. Weather is mint....time for recce 🤘🚗🏁
