Our Under 18s did us incredibly proud today.

Despite taking the field short on numbers, they never gave up. They showed heart, determination and true team spirit, giving everything they had until the final whistle. You couldn’t ask for any more than that, and we couldn’t be prouder of the young men they continue to be.

Before the game, the team also retired the number 3 jersey in honour of young Alisha (Ali) Rush. It was a simple but meaningful tribute, showing that our club is about so much more than football. We stand together, we support one another, and we remember those whose lives have been affected by the loss of such a beautiful young woman.

Well done, boys. Your effort, resilience and respect today embodied what it means to be a Knight. 💙❤️

💙❤️ This weekend, our Knights family will proudly join clubs across the Newcastle & Hunter Rugby League community in honouring Ali.

In support of the NHRL tribute, we are asking all of our teams to retire the No. 3 jersey this weekend as a mark of respect for Ali, her family, friends, teammates and everyone affected by her passing.

This is a simple but powerful gesture that reflects what our rugby league community is all about, coming together in times of loss, showing compassion, and honouring one of our own.

We ask all coaches and managers to please support this tribute with your teams this weekend.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Ali’s family, friends, teammates, the Southlakes Roosters, and everyone mourning her loss.
