NEW MEMBER GUIDE

HOW TO JOIN ALLEY BOARDRIDERS
1. Visit Surfing Queensland website
2. Top right (little person to create account or login)
3. Select “Community” > “Boardrider Clubs”
4. Enter Alley Boardriders in the name search field and select search
5. Select “Alley Boardriders”
6. Select “Join Club”
7. Find Division & Pay

All memberships include a
Surfing Queensland discounted individual membership ($40).

This covers:
• Personal accident insurance for club rounds and training
• Access to discount benefits through SQ partners
• Eligibility to enter external competitions across Australia

Membership Types:
• Individual: $140
• Family Membership:
Available for 3 or more family members, SQ membership is $20 per person and a code from the committee is required (please message for the code)

• Life Members:
– Must sign up using a code from the committee, its required to compete and be covered for the season

From the whole committee, we want to thank all the families for being a part of our family club. It’s not just something we say it genuinely feels like one big family. It’s been an amazing year, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year.

To our parents — thanks for the early mornings, the support, the cheering, the coffees, the lifts, and the love you show all the kids.
To our groms — you’re the heartbeat of the Alley. The fun, the chaos, the laughs, the wipeouts, the wins… we love all of it.
To our volunteers — without you, none of this runs. Thank you for giving up your time to make these days matter.
To our coaches and judges — thank you for shaping the next generation of surfers with patience, passion and belief.

Brad Smith needs our help.

If you don’t know Brad, he has been in the club since the very beginning. He lives and breathes the alley.

Unfortunately, Brad’s world was turned upside down. He has lost his sight and can no longer continue the career he built from the ground up.

Now, forced into early retirement with no financial safety net, he is struggling to navigate this unexpected reality. As a renter, not a homeowner, and with the cost of living skyrocketing, Brad urgently needs support to get through this challenging time.

His close friend has created this go fund me to help Brad as Brad would be the last person to ask for help.

Donations will go toward covering essential living expenses, medical and rehabilitation costs, and helping him regain independence in any way possible.
