Cracking spring morning for course setup l.
Quick update on fairway hollow coring. All fairways are being hollow tined with 19mm core tines. Same principle as fairway scarifying as we are trying to remove as much organic matter as possible. The cores are being drag matted to pulverise them. The fairways are then cleaned of with fairway blowers. We are in a race to try and get as many cored and cleaned up before the rain arrives later in the day.
Quick update on spring renovations. All fairways have been scarified using vc60. Thanks again to for allowing us to demo the machine. Next week all greens will receive a light dusting of sand to top up core holes and smooth the putting surface out. We will also be hollow coring all fairways, green surrounds and tee tops. The team are working very hard ensuring all of the works are being completed without disrupting golf.

Friday course preparation before the weekends Medal round. Team are working hard and producing great work. Greens cut with walk behinds, fairways and green surrounds cut. Bunkers being snipped, blown and broomed. Weather forecast for the weekend and next week greens renovations not in our favour. Fingers and toes crossed it changes.

Morning course prep for first round of foursomes championship. Greens rolled, fresh holes cut, bunkers raked. Course starting to show signs of growth heading into spring.

Perfect crisp winters morning.

Despite yet more rain this week the team have worked really well to complete some important project work. Forward 6th tee re turfed, weak areas on chipping green repaired, gardens around the clubhouse weeded. Today I spent a bit of time making new hardwood cart traffic stakes. Very easy to make and look rustic.

After another wet week it’s so nice to see some sunshine. Short lived however with more rain forecasted for next week.
