Foresight Tactical Foresight Tactical uses a proven, performance-based approach to training to achieve our mission of building safer and more capable shooters.

Foresight Tactical is an Australian owned business that provides high level firearms and tactical training and consulting services on contract to government departments and government service entities. We also provide firearms training and coaching to military and law enforcement personnel as well as licensed occupational and sporting shooters. Our training is delivered using our proven, performance based, training methodology. This results in better skills acquisition and retention for our end users than can be achieved with the more traditional outcome based approach to skills training. The thing that really sets us apart is our training cadre. We bring together a network of some of the most highly skilled and experienced, firearms and tactical training professionals in Oceania, allowing us to provide world class, custom training solutions. Every member of our network has real world military and/or law enforcement experience, but more importantly, every member can teach these skills to audiences at all levels. The firearms and tactical training community is plagued by obsolete and incorrect dogma. Not only do we continue to monitor world’s best practice to ensure we remain at the cutting edge, we continue to do our part to contribute to the development of the cutting edge.

First of our International Association of Law Enforcement Instructors Annual Training Conference posts. After missing the 2025 ATC we were looking forward to catching up with old friends and new in Palm Bay, Florida. This year Cam was joined by Threat Focused Solutions and Queensland Police Service instructor Em rounding out the Australian contingent. Extra exciting this year with Cam officially joining the IALEFI Board of Directors along with Josh Logan and Billy Bob at the AGM. This was followed by a keynote presentation by Lt Brian Murphy, a Wisconsin peace officer who was shot 15 times as the first responder to an active shooter. If you want to know more you can hear his story on the IALEFI podcast. Then it was time to hit the Palm Bay Police Department range for the Memorial Match, live fire vendor displays and to collect our conference am******on kindly provided by NIOA Federal Premium and Cleaver Fi****ms.

A great bloke and a great role model for the shooting sports. RIP mate.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of someone many of you would have known, Frank Petsch.

Frank was a familiar face around Brisbane Gun Club, always generous with his time and willing to lend a hand wherever it was needed. Many of us had our very first experience at the club through Frank, as he introduced countless people to the sport through the Come and Try days.

In recent years, Frank had moved to northern NSW where he continued his passion for helping others, volunteering with Marine Rescue. Tragically, Frank lost his life while doing exactly that — helping those in need. He will be remembered as a dedicated volunteer and a true community-minded person who gave so much of himself to others.

Frank was a valued member of our community, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Vale Frank — you will be missed.
