8kg down in 16 weeks. 💪
When Gert first came to me, there was no plan to step on stage.
Like many people, he simply wanted to lose some body fat, feel better, improve his health, and build better habits around training and nutrition.
Over the last 16 weeks he’s gone from 96.5kg to 88.7kg, averaging almost 0.5kg of weight loss per week while maintaining muscle and building consistency with his nutrition.
As his physique started changing, so did the conversations.
What started as a lifestyle goal quickly turned into questions about bodybuilding and whether I thought he could compete.
My answer was simple:
“If you’re willing to do the work, absolutely.”
These photos represent the completion of Phase 1.
The goal wasn’t rapid weight loss. It was to build habits, improve food adherence, create consistency, and remove enough body fat to set the foundation for a successful prep.
Now we’re moving into Phase 2 as we ramp things up towards the South West Classic in September.
With the foundations in place and a much leaner physique, it’s time to push harder and see just how far we can take it.
