Another way football in Darwin can make another step forward 🙌
Growing up playing sport in Darwin you are bound to get wet, whether it’s rain or sweat! 💦
Football Northern Territory are proposing the construction of new facilities at Fannie Bay Oval and Malak Oval to support local women and girls’ involvement in soccer and other sport on the ovals.
The proposed facilities include:
• women's and girl’s change rooms
• female friendly referee and parenting rooms
• storeroom
• office
• canteen
We want to know what you think!
Council has provided in-principle support to Football NT for the proposal, subject to consultation with the community.
Football NT and City of Darwin are asking residents, organisations and users of Fannie Bay and Malak Ovals to provide feedback on the proposal.
Consultation closes 1 April 2022.

TRAIN THE WAY YOU PLAY ⭐️
I’ve been working with this youth player for sometime now, and although this snippet of a training video was taken after the goal he had scored in a finals game, we were always working on replicating real (this moment in particular) match moments so that he could be more prepared when he found himself in said moment. We had worked on receiving a cutback for a shot several times leading up to this goal.
Additionally, one of the first things we ever worked on was getting a better tactical/positional understanding of the game through the lense of his starting position (CAM) - and receiving the cutback for a shot is a common moment CAMs can find themselves in during a match.
Some of the other moments we have worked on are half space runs, false 9 covers and the deep pass third man run.

So one of the first tasks I completed as the for Hellenic was structuring an informative Coaching Handbook that will help coaches be accommodated with training ideas, coaching points and more when it comes to running their own sessions.
Furthermore, The Handbook was created to streamline a technical identity throughout the club, with an ultimate focus on player fundamentals.

The way FC Barcelona are approaching their financial situation will pave the way for players (young mostly) to care more about the club and play more passionately as players, rather than putting an overcompensated salary on top of their list.
I can promise you that (if they stick to this path) this will reveal a golden generation of players within the next 10 years.
Derby under Rooney is a pure example of what this process looks like on a smaller scale.

We are 1 YEAR Today ⭐️🎂🎉
We would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who's supported us over the course of this year.
We started up with a focus on providing opportunities for topend footballers to train in a more player-centred environment, but with the year ahead, we are now looking to expand in a way we never thought we could!
