🦁🦜🧜‍♀️ Jungle animals, tropical birds & mermaids - oh my!

Inspired by some of our dancers' current favourite movies (Zootopia 2, Migration and The Little Mermaid) these recent performances were full of creativity, adventure and fun.

At Baby Ballet Darwin, we love turning a child's interests into dance. Whether they're dreaming of exploring the jungle, soaring through the skies or swimming under the sea, we choreograph dances around any theme that captures their imagination.

After all... life is too short to always be a fairy! ✨

💥 It's Territory Day and we are pumped because 1st July also means that Semester 2 NT Sports Vouchers are now available!

🪄 Oh the magic of backstage... where excitement builds, adrenaline starts pumping and the countdown begins!

Our *Territory Ballet Stars* program is not just about learning ballet technique - it's about the high fives, encouraging hugs and the "We've got this!" attitude before every performance.

👯‍♀️ It's walking side by side towards the wings. Watching in awe as hundreds of audience members gather. Taking one last deep breath before the music starts.

And then there's the laughter - the kind that is completely contagious. The huge smiles, the shared excitement and core memories being made without anyone even realising🤩

Friends adding a little extra glitter, fixing ballet slippers, sharing hairspray and making sure everyone is ready to shine!

Because long after the costumes are packed away and the music fades, these moments will stay with us forever💕🩰

We get asked this all the time... and the answer is a big NO! 💕

Our Territory Ballet Stars program with class options from Preschool to Grade 4 focuses on friendship, teamwork, building confidence & self-expression.

We are now on a break for school holidays, Term 3 starts the same week as NT schools. We have studios in both Nightcliff & Palmerston and we are a registered provider to accept NT Sports Vouchers 🏀

✨ CONNECTIONS - dance is so much more than steps & costumes, for us it's all about connection✨

One of our favourite things about performing at local community events isn't just what happens on stage, it's all the beautiful moments that happen around it...

🤍 The mum or aunt helping hand out props to their child's group

🤍 The proud family members huddled together, phones at the ready, eager to capture their little sweetheart's moment to shine

🤍 The excitement of flapping butterfly wings, straightening costumes and checking you're ready to go on stage

🤍 Older dancers proudly cuddling their baby siblings backstage

🤍 Daddy snuggles for confidence or sitting on Mummy's lap just before it's your turn to dance

🤍 Parents and carers crouched carefully behind their dancers on stage, offering that little bit of reassurance to help them feel brave

🤍 Spotting your ballet bestie and bursting with joy because you get to dance together in front of a huge audience

🤍 The quiet moments on the waiting mats, taking a deep breath and thinking through the steps before the music begins

🤍 A cousin helping tie back hair or straighten a unicorn crown so everything is just right

These tender moments are what make our ballet school community so special. The connections between our dancers and their caregivers are what truly make these experiences so magical!🩰

We could not agree more, a true dancer must have individual character and stage presence to bring a performance to life.

Our groups of Preschool to Year 3 ballerinas certainly embraced this during their recent performance at Nightcliff Seabreeze Festival

🎭 Far beyond performing the choreography they all brought their own unique style & personality to the stage!

Celebrating our youngest performers at this years Nightcliff Seabreeze Festival 🦄🎉🦋

Some of our tiny dancers 1-3 years of age danced like unicorns and butterflies & of course there was a bit of Wiggles in the mix too!

Thanks to parent/carers for your support both on and off stage helping to wrangle our mini movers - especially as for most of them it was their first ever time on stage🤩
