Meet the mums who helped launch Northern Territory rugby league club 18/07/2026

"With a full season done, next year people will see we are legit and we are growing so we will have more teams and more kids will come over. Some parents who travel to places like Palmerston will be able to play in their own community rather than having to travel."

Meet the mums who helped launch Northern Territory rugby league club Jess Argent was slightly nervous about the prospect of running a junior rugby league club earlier this year. Fast forward six months and it's the best thing she's ever done.

League Stars will be back very soon for Term 3

What is League Stars?

Our League Stars introductory program is all play, no contact, appealing to the true nature of kids, in all their messy, high energy, love of fun and play.

League Stars is designed for primary school aged children, and suitable for all abilities with a focus on practicing fundamental movement skills and having a blast with friends.

Our action-packed program ensures all participants are highly engaged and finish each session sweating and smiling.

πŸ§‘πŸ–€ JUST LET THEM PLAY πŸ–€πŸ§‘
Not every parent is shouting instructions.

Some simply show up.
Week after week. Training after training. Game after game.

They stand on the sideline.
They encourage.
They applaud the effort.
They celebrate the courage.
And they trust their child to learn, grow and fall in love with the game.

That quiet presence builds confidence.
It creates belonging.
It reminds every child that they're supported no matter the score.

Because years from now, they won't remember every try or every tackle.
They'll remember who was there.

Sometimes the greatest support isn't what we say...
It's simply showing up.

Just Let Them Play. πŸ‰πŸ§‘

At NRL NT, Our House is built on respect for players, coaches, referees, volunteers and each other. Together, let's create sidelines where every child can simply enjoy the game. πŸ§‘πŸ–€
