Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas go head-to-head in Power Ballad 🎶

The new film from John Carney, director of Once and Sing Street, starts with two musicians at very different points in their careers.

Rick, played by Paul Rudd, is a wedding singer whose dreams of making it big have faded. Danny, played by Nick Jonas, is a former boy-band star whose career is heading in much the same direction.

🎶 Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas go head-to-head in Power Ballad, screening at Deckchair Cinema as a fundraiser for Tara Irish Dance Company.

A chance meeting at a wedding leads to a late-night jam session and an unlikely friendship.

Then Danny takes one of Rick’s songs, turns it into a massive hit and suddenly finds himself back on top.

Rick is considerably less thrilled.

What follows is a funny, music-filled story about friendship, ambition, artistic ownership and what happens when the break you have been waiting for goes to somebody else.

With Paul Rudd, Nick Jonas, Jack Reynor and Havana Rose Liu, and John Carney back in the world of musicians, Power Ballad has plenty for fans of Once and Sing Street to enjoy.

Come along for a feel-good Sunday night under the stars while helping raise funds for Tara Irish Dance Company.
