The Hardy Group team had the pleasure of installing a new playground and rubber softfall in the remote community of Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa) at the Catholic School.
Ltyentye Apurte is located about 85km southeast of Alice Springs. The last ABS census indicated there is a population of 708 people living in this desert community.
They have a wonderful little arts centre in Ltyentye Apurte check out their website for some beautiful artwork to buy https://keringkearts.com.au/art/

PRIMARY SCHOOL PLAYGROUND - DARWIN
Hardy Landscaping organised the demolition and disposal of the old and hazardous existing playgrounds. They were out of date, did not meet current standards and parts were hazardous to children.
We submitted TWO proposals of which the school community selected one. We installed two playgrounds, one that was all individual items and the other a climbing unit and swings.
Hardy Landscaping was able to offer to top dress parts of their oval using the sand that had to be disposed of. We did this at no cost.
The children loved the new items and there was a swarm of kids running to the new playground as soon as it was open. The feedback from the school was exceptionally positive.

OUTDOOR EXERCISE EQUIPMENT - NIGHTCLIFF
This year we installed 6 stations of exercise equipment along the Nightcliff foreshore. The stations were designed to meet feedback provided in community consultation.
The project involved fencing off and removing the old existing equipment and replacing 6 new stations along the Nightcliff foreshore. Once our team installed the exercise equipment at the 6 sites, each station was finished off with rubber softfall and concrete kerb edging.
The colour of the softfall was chosen to compliment the equipment and blend in so as to not take away from the beautiful Nightcliff foreshore views. It was a great location to work, finishing on time and also in time for when the community was allowed to use outdoor equipment again.

ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND - DARWIN
Our client wanted to install playground equipment that encouraged adventure play for primary school children. They required climbing at heights, balance, strength and conditioning and overhead activities.
The small gardens, balance logs and boulders were great additions that attracted children to other areas along with the play equipment.

LANDSCAPING - MOULDEN
We installed these eye catching totem poles by aboriginal artist Chern'ee Sutton to turn a derelict space into a welcoming and engaging thoroughfare.
We installed pavers beneath the totems to allow access from all directions and to complete this clean, modern and creative space.

IRRIGATION - DARWIN
We were tasked with installing over 90 sprinklers around 2 equestrian arenas. The areas to be irrigated were quite small and tight which meant we required using a significant amount of nozzles.
We used TWO pressure pumps that used bluetooth to operate. This meant we could install different amounts of sprinklers on each line. For example, if required, one line could run 2 sprinklers and another could run 30 sprinklers.
The work was completed in under 7 days and ready for use immediately.
