Every Territory sporting community has someone who deserves to be recognised.
Do you know an athlete, coach, official, volunteer or team that’s made a difference this year?

The 2027 Northern Territory Sports Awards celebrate the people whose dedication, leadership and achievements make Territory sport stronger – from community clubs and local competitions to national and international success.
If someone has inspired others, gone above and beyond, or helped their club or community thrive, now is the time to recognise them.

Badminton Australia is taking part in the PSI National Survey, an annual survey by Pride in Sport that helps measure LGBTQ+ inclusion across Australian sport.

We’re asking staff, volunteers, board and committee members, players, coaches, officials, clubs and supporters to take a few minutes to complete the anonymous survey by the end of September.

Complete the anonymous survey via this unique badminton link: https://survey.websurveycreator.com/s/2027_PSI?ORG-ID=BadmintonAustralia

Meet Steven 🤗

Steven is participating in his first Alice Springs Masters Games, we caught up with Steven so you can get to know him a little better:

🤔 What motivated you to enter the Alice Springs Masters Games for the first time?
A lot of my friends are playing in the games and I wanted to join in the fun!

🤔 Have you set any personal goals for the games?
My goal for the games is to try and improve my technical game against new participants so I can grow my shot range and become a better play all round.

🤔 What aspects of the games are you most excited to experience?
i’m looking forward to having some really good games, my body will definitely be sore the next day unfortunately.

🤔 What first got you interested in Badminton?
I used to play with my family when I was younger to keep fit and healthy, after stopping for a bit I picked up the racket again in high school and haven't stopped.

You only need to be 25 to join Steven for a game of Badminton 👉 Check it out here: https://alicespringsmastersgames.com.au/sports/badminton
