Hi everyone, we have an update to share regarding the 2023 Alice Springs Masters Games (ASMG).
After careful consideration and continued close consultation with the Red Centre sporting community, ASMG 2023 has been rescheduled to 12-19 October 2024.
The difficult decision was made due to a number of reasons, including the capacity of some sports to take part. Like organisations and businesses around the country, many sports are experiencing severe staff and volunteer shortages, which will affect their ability to deliver their ASMG sporting competitions. Deferring the ASMG for 12 months will give the Alice Springs sporting community time to rebuild staff and volunteer numbers.
Thank you all for your ongoing support. We look forward to seeing you at the Games in 2024!

Motorcycling Australia NT (MANT) wishes to pass on its condolences to the Kolhman family on the recent and unexpected passing of Maureenn Kolhman - mother of the family.
Maureen has been a stalwart in the sport and an unbridled supporter of MANT. Maureen was the instigator and power behind the formation of the Acacia Hills MC club and to achieve this goal she worked closely with the MANT administration and Board.
Our thoughts and condolences go to all the family on this most difficult occasion. MANT acknowledges the special contribution made by Maureen’s son Stuart who is a current Board member.
RIP Maureen and may heaven have great whoops!

It’s official! Darwin’s International Women’s Day off-road moto event, proudly supported by the Northern Territory Government and hosted by DMCC will be held on Saturday 5th March 2022. It will be held alongside Thumpers scrutineering. What an epic way to kick off the race season!!
This is a free community event open to all. Women and girls, this is a free ride day where you’ll get to experience some track time and try your hand at a few simulated races, in a supportive, friendly environment. There will be experienced riders on hand to walk you through tips and tricks and help you with whatever you need.
We’ve had so many offers of bikes and gear to loan out, so if you don’t have a bike that’s no problem, come on down and we’ll get you going on two wheels.
Fellas, you can also support this event by coming along to show your support. Bring the women and girls in your life and let’s all celebrate an inclusive moto community with equal participation and visibility for all!
We will have a free community BBQ, with some epic prizes to raffle off, raising money for the Dawn House Women’s Shelter.
DMCC members, we need your help too! Come along to share your expertise with female riders and show the community what a cool and welcoming community this is, and what an epic sport off-road motorcycling is for everyone! If you have a spare bike and gear you don’t mind someone borrowing for a few hours it would be great to bring this along to allow riders who don’t have all the gear to be able to participate too (DM me if you do).
Location details will be confirmed soon. It will be at the same location as Thumpers scrutineering.
I will post up a registration link in the coming days, so keep an eye out!
The theme for International Women’s Day 2022 is . I can’t think of a better way to smash through stereotypes, celebrate the women and girls in our community and show any riders who might be contemplating trying their hand at racing what a supportive and inclusive community we are. Happy International Women’s Day 2022!
