Tough night at the office last night, but that’s boxing. 🥊

First up, Alex Bragg stepped in against a late replacement who had around three times the experience and was also older. Alex fought well but was just a little off the pace at times. A great learning experience and one he’ll be better for.
Straight after, Elijah Ansell fought in the semi-main event. He started well and had a strong 1st, 2nd and 3rd round, but got caught up in the fight a little. He came back on in the 4th and lost a very close decision. Plenty to take away and improve on.

Both boys will be better for the run and will be back in action in two weeks at the Bribie Island FistiCuffs Golden Gloves. 🥊

Then Jephthah Ikudede stepped into the ring for his 2nd professional fight against a local boy. Both fighters started well, with Jeph landing the more telling blows, but he got caught in an exchange and Connor capitalised on the mistake. The referee jumped in and stopped the fight — maybe a little early, but that’s boxing.
It’s been a great trip. The boys did everything right in the lead-up and prepared exactly how they should have. Unfortunately, the ex*****on just wasn’t there on the night.
