A trip down memory lane for your friday morning.

This photo was taken at the first ever dysf committe meeting back in 1961.

To celebrate 65 years of DYSF this important piece of club history will be featuring on this years club shirts.
All current paid members (including social) will be receiving one, however there's a link to order extras.

Theres a free shirt or two up for grabs to whoever can name the most people in this photo, bonus points if youre in the photo. So get your brains turning over and see how many you can name.

LFG here are the samples being made for the boardies that are being ordered so get your orders in ASAP.

We will only be keeping them open for another week so order up.

Customs boardies for the crew they will be 19’ in length so to best suit what was favourited most. The links will be below to make your orders so let’s get them in and let’s make it happen!!! All proceeds go to supporting the best club in AUS!!! And helping us make it better for everyone so don’t be shy and we hope to see you rocking these over summer and forever. Once orders close will be about a month before they will arrive 🙏

Once received all will be brought down to SF and distributed so no they will not be sent to your doorstep! Unless you have messaged us and can’t grab them for some reason.

We are ON again for this Saturday, with another weekend of waves coming up! Fingers crossed that all the banks hold, it will be a comp you dont want to miss!!

This months comp is brought to us by Açai by AMAZON POWER who keep us well fed every comp with the best Acai going around, we appreciate everything you guys continually do for our club. It wouldnt be an SF comp without everyone having acai pre and post heat!!

Book your tickets, we're going to Burleigh for the Surfing Australia ABB Grandfinal.

A crazy day of surfing down at Curly for the ABB NSW Central Region qualifier.

The club & team have been putting in the hard yards behind the scenes and it all came together today where we managed to finish 5th overall in arguably one of the hardest regions to qualify in.

Super proud of the team for all playing their part and stepping up when required, 50min heats are a blur. Big thanks to Benny - 🥷 , Isaac Buckley , Gor Oz , Luken McManus , Patto who battled the curly wobble all day.

Its no surprise, but special mention to Benny - 🥷 , the kid is an absolute freak and his ability to surf under pressure and ALWAYS produce a score is ridiculous. Some very clutch surfing went down as our power surfer, its always special watching him surf.

Also a big shoutout to everyone who came down and supported the club all day and made a huge amount of noise, was a very fun crew to hang with. Special mention to those on the beach who were working behind the scenes to make the day run like clockwork so the team just had to focus on surfing - Smurf, Crid, Danny, Quentin, we love ya.

Keen to get everyone up to Burleigh next year and make it a weekend to remember, reach out if you want to come - we will be sorting accommodation asap!

The club is gearing up for a big weekend of surfing with the ABB Qualifiers happening down at Curly this Saturday.

We will be surfing in heat 1 at 7am tomorrow morning. Come down and make some noise and support the team who have been absolutely ripping.

We can’t put into words how proud we are of Benny - 🥷 . His surfing just keeps going from strength to strength, and watching his run at the ISA World Junior Championship was so, so good.

Making the The Irukandjis was an incredible achievement on its own, and then to back it up with incredible surfing over 9 rounds was insane.

He represented his country and our club so well, and to top it all off, he was battling really bad gastro the whole time he was there. Poor guy was getting absolutely flogged, but he just kept turning up and putting on a clinic.

To finish 2nd out of 139 of the best surfers in the world in his age group is phenomenal. And with the final being so, so close between 1st and 2nd, it really could have gone either way.

We can’t wait to see what opportunities open up for him from here. This grom is not to be ignored, he’s going to go the distance, and we know we’ll be seeing him wearing the yellow jersey on the CT before you know it.

Congrats to the The Irukandjis, who came away with the overall gold. We’ll happily lend you Benny for the Opens team.
