This weekend we've got a crew heading down the coast to the inaugural teams challenge! We are frothing for a few waves on a right point. Comp will run from the 5th - 7th June.

Resident hype man Boylo was on the ground at the last comp, catching up with the crew and getting the rundown on how everyone’s been surfing after five months on their new sleds.

What an absolute insane day on Saturday, the waves were cooking all day, everyone was ripping and the vibes were at an all time high.

Day wouldnt of been possible without the help from our comp sponsors , , , Pete from Freddy's Meat and everyone else chipping in with judging, packup and setup.

Special mention to Boylo who makes the second bank comp (micros/groms) run without a hitch week in week out, hes an absolute weapon and hes the first down there and last to leave, we'd be screwed without him.
Another huge shoutout to Luiz Leal, who was on our new drone all day keeping everyone safe! Very reassuring having someone with eyes in the sky all day.
Lastly, thanks for all the people who helped on thr BBQ , we use the funds raised from this to help open doors for our groms whether it be resources, training or external comps.

DYSF has now installed 4 Shark Bite Kits along our beach to keep our club members, families, and community safe in emergency situations.

Each kit contains: Torniquet , Bandages, Dressings, Emergency Blanket, Emergency Whistle, Gloves and Incident Management Cards.

Location 1: Attached (on the side) to the Red Emergency Box on top of the Storm Water Drain.

Location 2: Attached (on the side) to the Red Emergency Box in front of DY Clubhouse (on the sand).

Location 3: Attached at Second Walkway entrance on the beach side.

Location 4: Attached (on the side) to the Red Emergency Box at the Pole.

Special thanks to Rotary Club Of Waringah who helped make this possible, without your support we wouldn't have been able to do this.

Unfortunately, SF is OFF today due to the waves being small and straight making it uncontestable.

Due to the committee and a majority of our surfers being away next weekend for the Kirra teams comp, we will be trying again next month (April) for SF
