Sunday 24 May, I’ll once again be at the Sydney at Sydney Olympic Stadium in Cathy Freeman Park as Fitness Ambassador for Dementia Australia and I’m super excited to warm up the crowd centre stage before we walk, jog and move together in support of Australians impacted by dementia.
Dementia is now the leading cause of death for Australian women and one of the leading causes of death overall in Australia, with an estimated 446,500 Australians currently living with dementia. Events like this help fund vital counselling services, education, support programs and research toward a cure. 🧡
Every year families, friends, carers, teams, first-time participants and long-time supporters show up for something bigger than themselves. There’s energy, emotion, hope and community. 🏃♀️🚶♀️
Whether you have a personal connection to dementia, want to honour someone you love, or simply want to support an important cause, there’s still time to register and be part of it. 🙏

Year of the Horse. 🐎 馬
The Fire Horse. 🔥
My birth month.
My birthday week. 🎉
And as of 17 February, we officially stepped into the Year of the Fire Horse (丙午年). 🐎🔥
I’m a Horse - which makes this my 本命年 (běn mìng nián). A full circle moment.
And it’s my Solar Return too - the Sun back to where it was when I was born. 🌞 A personal reset & a new 12 month chapter.
A zodiac return year isn’t just “lucky.”
It’s intensifying. Identity. Momentum. Big decisions. It’s the volume turned up on who you already are.
And i’s already kicking my ass, jury out on if in a good way… 😬 Sweeping my feet out from under me & I’m clinging on with everything I’ve got.

Honoured to have been nominated for the NSW Women of the Year Awards 2026! 🥰
While I wasn’t selected this year, the nomination itself stopped me in my tracks because it reflected the why behind the last 12 months.
Delivered on behalf of the NSW Government, the NSW Women of the Year Awards celebrate women and girls across NSW who are improving the lives of others, recognising determination, skill and passion, and the role models who challenge inequality, innovate and inspire their communities.
A large chunk of my time is spent supporting community and charity initiatives that matter deeply to me, including Lead Trainer & Ambassador for Memory Walk & Jog events for Dementia Australia and fundraising through running events such as the Sydney Marathon and HOKA Half Marathon in support of Motor Neurone Disease (MND). 💙
It’s not about recognition. It’s about showing up where you can, contributing in small but meaningful ways, and standing alongside people and communities facing things far bigger than any one person.
Thank you to whoever took the time to nominate me, and to everyone involved in community, charity and care work, whether visible or behind the scenes. 💝
