The Albanvale Football Club is thrilled to welcome Mathew Serafin to the Cobras for the 2027 season!

Joining us from North Footscray, Mat arrives as one of the competition’s most dominant forwards, boasting an incredible 800+ career goals to his name.

His recent form has been nothing short of outstanding, kicking 88 goals in 2025 and a further 80 in 2026 to help lead North Footscray to consecutive Grand Final appearances and a Senior Premiership this season.

Across his career, Mat has earned multiple Team of the Year selections and featured prominently in Club and League Best and Fairest counts, including polling the equal-highest vote tally in the League Medal count in 2025.

A proven match-winner, Mat will bring an enormous amount to our forward line in 2027, combining elite forward craft, strong marking, exceptional goal sense and an ability to hit the scoreboard in a big way.

We’re incredibly excited to welcome a player of Mat’s calibre, experience and premiership pedigree as we continue to build towards the 2027 season.

We’re excited to welcome Antonio Vitalone to the Cobras for the 2027 season, adding another significant and highly talented player to our side!

Joining us from Burnside, Antonio arrives with over 50 senior appearances under his belt, having established himself as a key figure and leader within the group.

A strong and versatile defender, Ant has the ability to lock down opponents both tall and small. Combine that with his running capacity, attacking nous and ability to drive the ball forward from half-back and through the midfield, and he brings a valuable mix of defensive strength and attacking weapons to our side.

At an exciting stage of his senior football career, we believe Antonio has all the tools to become a major influence on games week in, week out. We’re looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the Cobras in 2027!

Please join us in giving Antonio and his family a big Cobra welcome 💙🐍

Aidan brings plenty of quality to our backline, combining reliability and composure with a strong ability to win his contests and shut down opposition forwards. Not only is he a dependable defender, but he also plays a crucial role in launching our offensive chains and turning defence into attack. 💪

His leadership is another massive asset. Whether it’s directing teammates, organising the back six or barking instructions to keep everyone accountable, Aidan’s voice and presence are invaluable on the field. 🗣️

We’re excited to have Aidan back where he belongs and can’t wait to see him pulling on the jumper again!
