🥳 Some of our awesome Mischiefs ventured to Naarm on Saturday to scrim at the Victorian Roller Derby League Factory! 🥳

We're super proud of Bat Manic, who was named MVP Blocker, as well as Corbindrick, Spud and Lightening Bel for representing BRDL so beautifully. Our seniors Splatz and Elle benched the teams.

🖤💛 Scrimmage Sundays! 💛🖤

Much derby fun was had at Doug Dean stadium yesterday! Not only was it our monthly juniors scrim with friends from Warrnambool Roller Derby and Dragon City Roller Derby - DCRD, but we had several elder juniors joining our adult scrimmages for the first time! Well done to Corbindrick and Bat Manic who aced it in modcon, and to Smasha who skated brilliantly in their first full-contact adults scrim.

And congrats to our juniors MVPs: Spud, Corbindrick, Jeminator, Firestarter, Lil Beau Creep, Capt'n Jack Spar-O, Smasha and Sassinator!

What a time we had on Saturday, playing our hearts out against our special friends at Team Regional Victoria! We are so proud of how we played, had fun, supported each other and pulled off a win. Biggest shout-out to Spilly Loomis who made their debut for the Ratpack, and made us so proud!

We take the track at 11am against Team Regional Victoria, including our BFFs from Warrnambool Roller Derby.

EOIs are now open for small biz owners who have wares to sell at the Statewide Stampede - Victorian Roller Derby Tournament finals - hosted by us in Daylesford on Saturday 12 September.

Stalls are $20 or free for SWS teams selling merch. All stallholders must have public liability insurance.

Ballarat Roller Derby League is deeply saddened by the passing of former member Bernard Franken.

Bernard joined BRDL Fitskate in 2015. He quickly became a much-loved member and lifelong friend to many.

His wicked sense of humour and infectious laugh will be forever treasured.

Always willing to lend a hand, Bernard, alongside his wife Bec, was Head Coach of our Junior Roller Derby program for many years.

BRDL sends Bec, Mac, Evie & Pip, and their extended family and friends, our deepest sympathy.

💪🥰 We are so super-proud of our incredible Mischiefs skater, Corbindrick, who is having the time of his life in Sydney trying out for juniors Team Australia! 🥰💪

Along with his skate mates from Warrnambool Roller Derby, Smasha and Sassinator, he's been learning new things, pushing himself and connecting with other juniors from far and wide.

We're so proud of his resilience and sportsmanship and can't wait to hear his stories when he gets home. Good luck Corbindrick! 🥳
