🎣 Seamaster Fishing Supplies sponsored Comp 1 at Four Springs Lake 🐟

After the wind forecast forced us to make a late change from the Huntsman we headed for Four Springs Lake. Whilst we still had some wind and enough w**d to sink a ship it was some much more favorable boating conditions. Well done to all who attended.

For a first comp we had some great numbers. Our first time doing the shotgun start and it was well embraced and added a great atmosphere early having everyone together. We had 19 teams and 41 anglers brave the change and conditions for some mixed results. We landed 65 fish totaling 27125mm 19 browns and 46 rainbow. All fish were in condition and fought hard. Some of the rainbows were absolute footballs.

🚨 ‼️ Important update ‼️ 🚨

Due to the wind forecast and extreme gusts blowing directly at the ramp the committee have made the tough call to move the comp to Four Springs Lake. We apologise for any inconvenience however this is necessary. While there will still be some wind it will not be as dangerous or difficult. Nigel has been out there this morning and confirmed the change will be better suited.

Can all entrants please contact Shane Campbell with a yes or no if you will still be attending.

All details remain the same. Briefing at the ramp at 6.30

Our first comp of the 26/27 season is here and shaping to be a beauty. We are off to Huntsman Lake. Seamaster have been great supporters of us and have jumped back on board again.

As always we have plenty of prizes up for grabs.

- No camping at this comp.

- We will hold a briefing at 6.30am at the boat ramp.

- Fishing is 7am till 3pm.

- Shotgun style start at 7am

- Must be a paid member to enter.
Membership cost $25 adult $5 junior
(14 years and under)

- Comp cost $20 adults, $10 juniors

- optional $30 boat/team calcutta

- uhf ch 10. Must have a uhf ( handhelds are fine)

- Bbq and refreshments at the presentations after the comp.

- All IFS and MAST regulations must be followed

- Phone camera and brag mat required for measure in

🎣 September meeting wrap up 🎣

We held our September meeting at the Sheffield RSL Club last. We had a great turnout and thankyou to the RSl Club for their great hospitality once again.

We have our first Comp of the season this coming weekend so keep an eye out for the details coming up.

We were lucky to have a special guest last night in Sheryl Thompson. For those that don’t know Sheryl is royalty in the fishing community and has been a great support to our club over many years. We are glad we got to catch up with her and show her how well our club is going.

Our members draw was at $150 #19 was the lucky number and our fines officer and vice president James ‘Jimbob’ Barrett was in attendance and took the cash home 🤑
