Who’s built their billycart and ready to test it out?!

The countdown is on… less than a month until DerbyFest and our second annual Billycart Race thanks to the shuttle gods Up Down Around MTB who have put up some cash for prizes this year!

Bring the whole family and get ready to compete, cheer and laugh — this event is full Derby character.

🇦🇺 DERBY TO HOST THE 2027 AUSCYCLING ENDURO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS! 🇦🇺

We’re pretty excited to share this one…

From November 12-14 2027, Australia’s best enduro riders will descend on Derby to battle it out for a green and gold jersey at the 2027 AusCycling Enduro National Championships.

Hosted by Tas Gravity Enduro Series and held across the Blue Derby network, the three-day championship will bring riders from across the country.

And really, there’s nowhere more fitting if you ask us!

Fire, beers and sunset at Sawtooth Lookout this spring?

With sweeping views over the township, it’s hard to think of a better spot to settle in and watch the sun go down after a big day on the bike.

The Black Stump re-development has been finished with the last piece of the puzzle, new trail maps, being installed yesterday!

The space is now much larger with a reconfigured turning circle and drop-off zone for smoother flow, re aligned trail entries and exits for Black Stump, Roxanne, The Snig & Log Ride Link, there is extra seating and bike racks!

You’ll also notice new maps all the way across the network with a more fine tuned recommendation of trail difficulty. Instead of the standard, green, blue, black and so on.

Blue Derby will now showcase two colour grades “green/blue” and “blue/black”.
There are also individual QR codes to scan to give you a full break down of each trail.

For the first time since construction the goblin forest has remained open right through winter and it’s riding absolutely beautifully. 🫡

A mild winter, recent remedial works and some much-needed trail maturation have all played a part in keeping conditions in great shape.

Blue Tier’s conditions are currently excellent, with a little more natural debris than usual thanks to lower traffic volumes and the usual winter/spring storms.

Our trail crew will be organizing a tier clean up day sometime over the next month, keep an eye out if you want to roll up your sleeves. 🌿
