๐ VFLW DEBUTS ๐
A huge congratulations to Beau, Nikki and Lachlan on making their VFLW umpiring debuts on 29th of August.
This is a significant milestone and a reward for the hard work, commitment and perseverance each of them has shown throughout their umpiring journeys.
Their debut is something our entire Tasmanian umpiring community can be proud of and serves as a great example of the opportunities available through the umpire pathway.
Congratulations Beau, Nikki and Lachlan. We look forward to following the next chapter of your umpiring journeys. ๐

The game runs deep. Earlier this month, these four young guns swapped their playing boots for the whistle to umpire UTAS Auskick matches โ then a couple of weeks later, they faced off against each other in an elimination final. Playing the game, giving back to it, and experiencing it from both sides of the whistle. Well done boys!!

What a career. What a contribution.
The other weekend, Morris Bloom added another achievement to an already outstanding umpiring rรฉsumรฉ, becoming the NWUA's all-time senior games record holder.
30 years. 507+ senior games. 14 senior grand finals. Hall of Fame member. Life Member.
Of course, now that he's got the record, we believe he's been breaking his own record every weekend from here on in.
Congratulations, Moris, and thank you for everything you've given to umpiring and community football. ๐

๐ 100 and counting! ๐
Last month we welcomed our 100th female umpire registration for the season, a fantastic milestone for umpiring in Tasmania.
Now, we're not quite sure she'll be out there blowing the whistle this year, but what we do know is she's already soaking up the umpiring environment alongside the umpiring cohort.
Every umpire's journey starts somewhere, and we're excited to see where hers leads. Well done, Airlie!
Here's to 100 female registrations and many more inspiring young women giving umpiring a go. ๐๐

๐ Finals Footy is Here! ๐
Finals action is now underway across Tasmania, with junior finals in full swing and senior competitions beginning their race to premiership glory.
The ODFA and OSFA finals series are already underway, while the NWFL and SFL Community League finals kick off this weekend. More finals football is just around the corner, with the NTFA and SFL Premier League campaigns set to begin in the coming weeks.
For our umpires, finals are a reward for months of hard work, commitment, training and continual improvement. Whether you're taking the field, coaching from the boundary, mentoring developing officials or supporting appointments behind the scenes, congratulations on reaching this stage of the season.
Good luck to all officiating across Tasmania over the coming weeks. ๐๐

Oliver, Axl and Darci from the NWUA recently enjoyed a behind-the-scenes AFL umpiring experience at UTAS Stadium, gaining a unique look at what it's like to officiate at the elite level.
From the changerooms to walking onto the ground with the umpiring team, being amongst it for the warmups and half time and meeting AFL players and coaches; it was an experience they won't forget.

Thanks ESP Photography - Tas for the wonderful recognition of this umpire crew.
At a time when we're continuing to encourage respect for umpires at all levels of the game, it's fantastic to see positive stories and images that celebrate their contribution to football.
Every whistle, every decision and every kilometre travelled helps make our game possible. Thank you to all umpires, and thank you ESP Photography for helping tell their story. ๐ธ๐๐ค๐
