PRESEASON SCHEDULE

September is a big one as we prepare for another huge season at the Big Cats!

Check out the schedule below - we've got women's, men's, and junior events as well as a working bee before we host the Barclay Cup and hit the ground running to start the season.

If you're a new player interested in joining the club, please attend any of the relevant sessions or send us a message if you'd like to join but can't make any of these dates.

You get the gist by now, Leah Cornish is a Big Cat - but she's also going to be the Head Coach of our inaugural junior girls team!

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to be coached by a current Australian Emerald who has also represented her state and played overseas.

It's not every day you get the chance to learn from a player of this calibre in their prime!

Make sure you register your interest, we are going to run a separate girls-only come and try session on the 12th and 19th of September at 10am.

Come down and meet Leah and give baseball a go, whether it's your first or millionth time picking up a ball!

BALI BOUND

Our very own Bronny Gell is headed off again, this time to Jakarta and Bali with the Diamonds in the Rough, a not-for-profit organisation empowering Indonesian girls through baseball.

Bron is the head coach of the tour, which will take place from September 4th-9th.

The club has strong connections to the Diamonds in the Rough program with multiple club members having been involved in previous iterations, including Bron.

Have a great time Bron, what a great ambassador for women's baseball - the girls are lucky to work with you!

📣 WOMEN’S COACHES ANNOUNCED 📣

This a big one, our women’s coaches for the 2026/27 season are locked in 🔒

Urs Howard, the Women’s Club Coach, will take the helm of the Premier team with the assistance of Cat Row.

Shae Lillywhite is stepping back into the coaching role at the Big Cats taking on the State 1 team (formerly known as Premier Reserves).

Mandi Avent is back on deck to coach State 2, assisted by Shane Rigby.

Jasmine John & Graeme John will be coaching our Regional South East team together.

Congrats to all the coaches - we thank you for volunteering your time, and wish you all the best for the season ahead!

FOR THE LITTLE ONES ⚾️🌟

Are your kids a bit too young for T-Ball or junior baseball, but keen to get started?

Join us on Wednesdays in October for FREE come & try sessions for 3-5 year olds - all equipment is provided by us, just turn up and participate with your child 😃🦁

These sessions will be a fun introductory to baseball, focused on developing simple baseball skills early!
