What a spectacular night of action-packed boxing on Saturday night for our 4th annual John Smillie cup.
Elijah, on debut, got the win in a really good contest against a good kid. Both gave their all, and there were no losers in that one.
Bahram again stepped up to the table in his 14th bout. This time, he got the win against the New Zealand champion with over 80 bouts to his name, another really close contest. Congratulations and also well done to young Motekai. Great kid.
Dion fell short against his opponent, and Parker got off to a great start but got caught. He was brave and never gave up but that's boxing.
Huge thanks to Team NZ for coming over.
Was a pleasure working with Cain on the organising of that.
Huge shout out to our Volunteers year after year they get the job done. Also our coaching team✅️👊
Our sponsors and community 💚🖤 and also participating clubs and their supporters.
These shows are impossible without the Boxing community getting together.
Thanks also to Boxing Vic officials for leading the way again in Amateur Boxing.
More videos and pics to come.

Young Bahram stepped up again, travelling over to Adelaide to fight Australia's best in his hometown. Finished really strong, boxed well answered everything in a super close fight, not the decision we came for, but the experience we take away. This kid will fight anyone, anywhere no questions asked. A change in the weight class a couple of days out wasn't in our favour, so hopefully, we get that fight again. Well done, mate💚🖤 onto the next
