Tuesday marked the start of Golf pennant season and for our first game we travelled to Korumburra Our team was Kelvin Marriott Andy Grant Nanette Fry and Trish Turner. Unfortunately players were unable to cope with the challenge of the Korumburra greens and we went down 8 games to 6. But didn’t they all look resplendent in their club uniforms. Last year the Victorian State Golf team won the wooden spoon in the Inter State Shield. This year has seen a major turn around with Shane Downie from Traralgon being appointed the State coach and Julie Beasley from Warragul the team manager. And the result was resounding win for the Victorian side. Congratulations to all 👍👍👍👍😊😊

End of the month lunch today. Football theme to celebrate the end of the tipping competition and present awards to winners. As usual and for the fourth year in a row was our treasurer Geina Daley. we have all decided that next year she is not going to be allowed to put her tips in on Monday morning 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 runner up was Jannette Fisher The draw to see who won the Brownlow then took place and it was won by Vicky Rogers. The wooden spoon for the second year in a row went to Trish Turner. Meat pies and sauce and hot dogs and a heap of entres and cakes and slices supplied by our kitchen girls and members. School Bakery very generously donated hot dogs in pastry. But only because Christ Musgrove was dressed in Bulldogs colours when he went there. Great day had by all and a special thanks to Heather Bullen for organising the whole day and the whole season of tipping. Great job Heather. keep it up next year. 🤣🤣🤣😃👍👍😊

Happy Birthday to Ray Walton at the club today. Young Ray Waltons 90th. well catered by our new team and soup by Christ Musgrove. And thanks to Delma for a ripper monster birthday cake. Congratulations to Kevin Young from Morwell croquet club for being elected (dobbed)as the new President of the Gippsland Croquet Association. He has replaced Wilma Freeman who stood in as temporary Pres after Jim Clements demise.

Well talk about a Rogues gallery of pics from Drouins club champ final held last Saturday The three winners of the sections were Andy Grant Div 3. Nan Fry Div 2 and Kelvin Marriott Div 1. And the overall winner after Andy beat Nan on Handicap was Kelvin 👍👍👍👍💖
