Yesterday, Monday, 14/9/26 the regional Geelong v Ballarat Round 1 with Sections 1 & 2 was played in Geelong.

Geelong proved the stronger opponent for this round. 👏

Section 1 - James Turton (Captain), Peter Binks, Mary Cockett, Steve Podolak
Geelong - 15 games 125 hoops
Ballarat - 5 games 78 hoops

Section 2 - Jillian Logan (Captain), Anthony Smith, Bill Quarrell, John Gatty
Geelong - 14 games 124 hoops
Ballarat - 6 games 93 hoops

We did it. The Victorian team won the Australian interstate Shield yesterday with 5/5 wins. A big thanks to our wonderful state coach Shane Downie and every member of our fantastic team. We all played our best croquet and were a united team. All the work paid off. WELL DONE VICTORIA

A huge congratulations to Kathy and Greg Hewson who won the Mornington Novice Tournament today. Great job. They certainly put a lot of time and effort into their croquet. WELL DESERVED. So proud. 💙❤️

What a glorious day for the finals of the Australian Mens and Wonens events at Cairnlea. Claire from Vic won the ladies plate and I came 3rd (19th overall), Helen is still playing in the main event, as is Felix. Jen Rechter is playing Judy from Belmont in the 9-16 placings. Good luck Jen. I want to thank Greg and Kathy who have travelled up twice to watch the croquet live, also Darryl and Sue Chivers who were here in Sunday.
A celebration dinner tonight where the medals are awarded and the State teams are officially presented then into the ISS tomorrow for 5 straight days, absolutely wonderful events to be a part of. Croquet at its best. 💙❤️🖤💛

Welcome to Spring. A beautiful sunny day and we have a new group of trainees starting a 4 week course under Colin's watchful eye.

How many members does it take to measure for the new hoop holes. 4 apparently, and what a great job they're doing, and not forgetting Jenny, our hole filler. It was short notice but thank you so much to the members that did assist Colin with this task, so we're ready for our new season tournaments. ❤️💙💛🖤
