πβ½ U15s | Season Wrap-Up β½π
What a season it has been for our Under 15s!
This group faced a massive challenge this year, playing up in the combined competition after the U15 and U16 competitions were combined due to low team nominations.
It wasnβt an easy season. They faced some tough results week after week, but what stood out most was that they kept showing up. They kept turning up, putting in the effort, supporting each other and giving it everything they had. π
When the competition was later split back into U15s and U16s, our boys found themselves heading into the finals β something we unfortunately missed posting about at the time.
They took on the U15 semi-final this weekend gone, and while they didnβt get the result they were hoping for, they should be incredibly proud of what they achieved.
From a tough season playing up an age, to finishing the season as a finals team β that is something worth celebrating! π
A huge shoutout to the players for their resilience, their commitment and for never giving up. And of course, a massive thank you to the coaches, managers and families who supported them all season. π
Well done U15s β you should be so proud of yourselves! πβ½π

LETβS GO WANDERERS!
Sometimes, the biggest wins donβt show up on the scoreboard.
Sometimes, itβs about creating a moment where a child feels included, supported and successful.
One of our coaches has shared with us a beautiful story from their final game of the seasonβ¦..
Throughout the season, one young player had found the game challenging at times. They could become nervous around the ball, distracted by everything happening around them, and often participated in their own way. But what they loved most was being part of the team, spending time with their friends and simply being there.
There was just one thing they really wanted to achieve before the season ended β to score a goal π₯
β½οΈ
So, at their final game, a conversation was had between the coaches. Both teams came together to create an opportunity for that moment to happen.
With the support of their coach, teammates, the opposition, parents and even the referee, that young player found the confidence to take their chance and score.
The cheers from both teams were a reminder of what sport can truly be about.
Inclusion. Encouragement. Kindness. Belonging.
Sport gives children so much more than the game itself. It gives them opportunities to build confidence, make friends, be part of something and discover that there is a place for everyone on the field.
A huge thank you to the opposing team and coach from Dubbo Newtown Soccer Club for helping create such a special moment, and to every player, coach, referee and parent who continues to make our game a welcoming place for all children.
Because every child deserves to feel included, valued, supported β and given the opportunity to shine β¨
