For a long time, I thought the answer was to do more.

But, sometimes the next level isn’t found in doing more.

It’s found in doing less of what isn’t working — and more of what actually matters.

Hard work matters.

But hard work in the wrong direction?

That just gets you further from where you want to go.

What if you don’t need to work harder?

What if you need to work differently?

If this resonates with where you are right now, DM me ā€œREADYā€ and let’s start a conversation about what a different approach could look like for you. 🧔

The laundry can wait.
The emails can wait.
The endless to-do list will still be there tomorrow.

But your health?
Your energy?
Your happiness?

They can’t keep sitting at the bottom of the list.

This past week, my focus has been entirely on my son—helping him get well for his procedure, supporting him through today, and making sure my daughter still feels seen, loved and cared for too.

It would have been so easy to forget about me.

But I’ve learned that when life gets hard, that’s when my non-negotiables matter most.

Water.
Protein and fibre.
Sleep.
Mindset.

Some things have been harder to fit in—like my strength training and getting all my steps in—but these daily foundations keep me physically and mentally strong, even on the busiest days.

Because looking after yourself isn’t selfish.

It’s what allows you to keep showing up for the people who need you most.

You deserve the same care you so freely give everyone else. 🧔

For years, I believed my body had given up on me.

I was exhausted.
The weight kept creeping on, especially around my mid-section.
My motivation had disappeared.
The workouts that used to work... didn’t.
Eating less and exercising more only left me feeling more drained.

I honestly thought something was wrong with me.

Then I had a realization that changed everything...

It wasn’t my body that had changed.

It was the advice I was still following.

I was trying to force my 40+ year old body to respond like it did in my 20s.

More cardio.
Eat less.
Push harder.
Ignore the exhaustion.
Start again every Monday.

The harder I pushed, the worse I felt.

It wasn’t until I stepped back, started learning more on how women’s bodies actually change through our 30s, 40s and beyond and implementing those learnings that everything began to shift.

Instead of punishing my body...
I started supporting it.
I prioritised strength instead of burning calories.
I focused on eating enough protein and nourishing my body instead of constantly restricting it.
I made sleep and recovery part of the plan instead of treating them like a luxury.
I worked with my hormones instead of fighting against them.

And something incredible happened...

I became stronger than I’d been in years.
My energy came back.
I stopped obsessing over the scales.
I started feeling confident in my own skin again.

The biggest transformation wasn’t just physical.
I stopped believing my age was the problem.

Because here’s the truth...
Your body isn’t broken.

It simply needs a strategy that’s designed for the woman you are today—not the woman you were 15 years ago.

If you’ve been blaming yourself because nothing seems to work anymore...

This is your reminder:
ā¤ļø You don’t need more willpower.
ā¤ļø You don’t need to punish yourself.
ā¤ļø You don’t need to start another fad diet on Monday.

You need a plan that works with your body, not against it.

šŸ‘‡ Tell me in the comments...

What’s one piece of health or fitness advice you’ve been told that just doesn’t seem to work anymore?

Let’s bust some outdated myths together.

Turns out, life had other lessons to teach me.

Burnout.
Perimenopause.
Becoming a single mum.
Rebuilding my life from scratch.

These are the five lessons that changed everything...

🧔 Health comes first.

Looking healthy isn’t the goal.
Feeling strong, energised, and fully present is.

🧔Consistency beats perfection.

Strength training.
Protein.
Sleep.
Water.
Mindset.

Simple habits changed my life more than any quick fix ever did.

🧔 Working harder isn’t the answer.

I had the qualifications.
I owned the business.
I was helping everyone else...
But I was running myself into the ground.
Success should never cost you your health.

🧔 You’re stronger than you realise.

The hardest seasons reveal strengths you never knew you had.

🧔Freedom is the real goal.

Freedom to wake up with energy.

Freedom to be present with your kids.

Freedom to love living in your body.

That’s the life I’m building.

And it’s the life I want for every woman I get to help.

Which lesson resonates most with you? Let me know in the comments ā¬‡ļø

The biggest mistake I made?

Thinking I needed the perfect workout, the perfect meal plan or the latest health trend.

Turns out, I just needed to get really consistent with the basics.

My 5 daily non-negotiables:

šŸ’§ Hydration: 2 to 3 litres of water every day to support energy, recovery and overall health.

šŸ’Ŗ Movement: Strength training, sprint intervals, long walks or yoga. I move every single
day.

šŸ— Protein: 100g+ every day to support strength, energy, a healthier metabolism, bone health and assist recovery.

🧠 Mindset: This has always been my biggest challenge. Whether it’s guided journalling, gratitude, meditation or tapping, I have been making time to train my mind as much as my body.

😓 Sleep: 7- 8 hours is non-negotiable. I’m in bed by 9pm so I can be up at 5am feeling my best.

None of this is exciting.

None of it is revolutionary.

But doing these things consistently has changed my energy, my strength, my mindset and my life.

The women who get the best results aren’t the ones chasing the next big thing. They’re the ones who master the basics.

Which of these five do you struggle to stay consistent with? šŸ‘‡

What’s the difference between a personal trainer, an exercise physiologist and a physiotherapist? Aren’t the all the same? šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Well, the short answer is NO!

As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) certified by Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA), I'm here to provide personalised, safe, and effective exercise interventions & lifestyle coaching.

But you might be wondering, what exactly is an Exercise Physiologist?

According to ESSA, AEPs are highly qualified allied health professionals armed with the knowledge, skills, & competencies to design, deliver, and assess safe and effective exercise interventions. We specialise in assisting individuals with acute, sub-acute, or chronic medical conditions, injuries, or disabilities.

Our primary goal as AEPs is to leverage exercise as a powerful tool for preventing and managing chronic diseases, injuries, and disabilities.

BUT, how does an Accredited Exercise Physiologist differ from other professionals like physiotherapists or personal trainers?

šŸ‘‰ Physiotherapists: They're also university qualified & proficient in assessing, diagnosing, & managing a wide range of injuries, chronic conditions, & disabilities. While some physiotherapists may have exercise science knowledge, their primary focus isn't exercise prescription.

šŸ‘‰ Personal Trainers: Typically, personal trainers hold a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Fitness & primarily work with 'healthy individuals' looking to enhance their general health and fitness. They are not focused on clinical treatment for medical conditions or injuries.

When you engage with an Accredited Exercise Physiologist you can trust that your exercise program will be meticulously tailored to your fitness level, needs and ability.

And, when you work with a Women's Health Exercise Physiologist, who also has the skills and qualifications of a personal trainer, you will be expertly support you with an women's health injuries or conditions that you may have, while also reaping the benefits of a skilled exercise professional who will help you with your fitness and lifestyle goals. šŸ’Ŗ
