Thank You Hawks Members
A huge thank you to everyone who attended the Northwest Hawks Rugby League EGM tonight.
We were proud to see the new Executive Committee officially elected and sworn in, in front of a strong turnout of members and supporters, with the process managed by the North Sydney District Chairman and an independent board member.
It was particularly pleasing to see our Life Members in attendance, including those who played a significant role in building and running the Hawks some decades ago. Their ongoing support, commitment, and passion for the club are greatly valued and appreciated. The foundations they helped create continue to benefit our players and members today.
We would also like to thank representatives and supporters from neighbouring clubs who attended the meeting to support, not vote.
Your support and encouragement of the Northwest Hawks is greatly appreciated and reflects the strong rugby league community we are proud to be part of.
With the EGM now complete, the new Executive Committee can now focus on what matters most , delivering a successful 2026 season and providing the best possible experience for our players, families, volunteers, and supporters.
Our focus remains firmly on the kids, the game of rugby league, and continuing to build a strong future for the Northwest Hawks.
Thank you for your ongoing support.

HAWKS ROUND 6 WEEKEND Wrap
What a massive week it has been both on and off the field for our Hawks community ππ
This week brought some heartbreaking news that rocked not only the rugby league world, but our Hawks community as well, with Jai Arrow bravely sharing his diagnosis with MND.
It also had many of us reflecting on one of our own past Hawks leaders, Sandra Peacock.
Many of us still remember the day Sandra shared the news with us and spoke about her diagnosis. We remember the emotion, the uncertainty and the courage she showed whilst also making the incredibly hard decision to ask others to help take the lead of the club as she could no longer manage things the way she and her family once had.
Sandra continues her courageous fight today and her strength still inspires so many within our club β€οΈ
Some of our boys were lucky enough to stand alongside Jai this time last year and he was such a strong, kind and genuine young man. To think somebody so full of life could be dealt these cards is a reminder to all of us just how fragile life can be.
Our hearts are with Jai Arrow, NRL, Sandra and every family currently fighting this horrible disease π
As a club we are proud to be supporting MND awareness throughout June and then in July, alongside the NRLβs βTry for Jaiβ campaign, the Hawks will proudly be supporting βTRY for Jai & Sandraβ πππ
Across the weekend in North Sydney Junior Rugby League district, our Hawkies once again proudly represented the green and gold all across the district. Rain, muddy fields and slippery conditions certainly didnβt stop the smiles, determination and passion from our kids.
From our youngest Hawkies continuing to build confidence and learn the game, right through to our older teams building momentum and pushing each other to improve every week, there was plenty to be proud of across all age groups.
One of the biggest highlights continues to be the mateship across this club. Watching kids play against school mates, old teammates and friends, then laugh together once the game finishes, is exactly what junior sport should be about.
There is a real sense of community building around the Hawks at the moment and itβs something special to watch grow week after week.
A huge thank you again to all our coaches, trainers, managers, referees, Game Day Ready Crew, volunteers and families who continue showing up every single week for our kids. Community sport simply does not happen without people willing to give their time and energy for others.

HAWKS Pop Culture Essentials - PCE TEAM OF THE WEEK
This week our Hawks Pop Culture Team of the Week goes to a team that has had their heads down working hard right from Round 1 ππ
Well done under 9s tackle π
Week after week this group has continued showing commitment to training, showing up for their coach, backing their teammates and turning up for each other no matter the challenge.
A lot of this teamβs success and culture is driven by one person, Coach James π
When you speak with James you can almost see footballs turning in his eyes ππ
He is an incredibly passionate local community member and Hawky who genuinely wants to see his team succeed right through the Hawks grades.
As a sponsor of our club, Ambient Services Group, and coach,James loves nothing more than pulling on his Hawks shirt each week and proudly standing alongside his team.
He is also very well known for sharing stories about his teamβs successes around the community and at The Galston Club, proudly talking about how much he loves coaching these kids and watching them improve each week. We even hear some of the Hawks soccer dads are now curious about what all the excitement is about and are genuinely enjoying seeing how proud he is of his team πππ
One of the best parts of this teamβs journey is seeing some players now proudly wearing the green and gold who this time last year probably never imagined they would be playing rugby league at all.
We continue hearing how special the mateship within this team is and itβs exciting watching their growth together each week.
Thank you James for living out the Hawkie values every single week and leading your team with passion, pride and commitment.
Congratulations to U9s, this weekβs Hawks Pop Culture Essentials Team of the Week π¦

At the Northwest Hawks, rugby league is more than just a game. Itβs about family, community, and standing beside each other through every challenge life throws our way.
Motor Neurone Disease is something we hold very close to our hearts as a club. A couple of years ago, our incredible club leader, Sandra Peacock,
gave so much of her life to help drive, grow, and manage the Hawks. She worked tirelessly behind the scenes and did an amazing job while also watching her own kids, and so many other kids, enjoy the game they love every single weekend.
Sandra is still fighting strong today, and even though we donβt have her around as much as we would love to, she continues to work incredibly hard managing the fight against MND with courage and determination every single day. We are constantly amazed by her strength, resilience, and heart. She inspires every one of us across the Hawks community and reminds us what true courage really looks like.
Because of Sandraβs journey, MND is not just a cause to us β it is deeply personal.
Today, we also want to send our absolute love, support, and thoughts across the entire NRL community to Jai Arrow and his family as they face the next steps in their MND journey. No player, family, or community should ever walk this road alone, and the rugby league world stands together beside them.
The Hawks are built on loyalty, heart, and community spirit, and moments like these remind us all that football is far bigger than the scoreboard. It is about people supporting people.
From the Hawks, we send strength, love, and hope to all families impacted by Motor Neurone Disease. π
