Congratulations to all the juniors selected to play Junior country regions at Terang next month. We have 3 Bairnsdale members that were selected this year- Maddison Kelly, Lachlan McGrath and Tyler Elliott. Well done and we wish you and the team the best of luck ⛳️

2026 Country week ⛳️

This week ballarat district hosted country week at Buninyong, Midlands and Ballarat Golf Clubs. Well done to both the men and women who competed in some very windy and cold conditions. We had 6 members selected to play Mat Walkenhorst, Nadine Martin, Sue Wood, Maddison Kelly, Chrissy Fisher and Johanna Wyllie. The men made it to the finals but unfortunately went down to a very strong Dalhousie team 5/2. The women’s team coming back up to Divison 1 finished 4th on the ladder and secured their spot in division 1.

Well done to not only our members but all the GEG players & caddies for the last 3 days representing the district. Well done to Chris Munday and Neil Tacey for the organization of this years country week. We would also like to congratulate all the 2026 women Divisons and men shield, plate and bowl winners.

Bring on 2027- date and location TBC.

Juniors on tour ⛳️

Maddison Kelly, Lachlan & Nathan McGrath went down and played at Gardiners Run on Sunday. Well done to Nathan McGrath for winning B Grade stableford event and Lachlan finished 2nd in the gross event. So great to see our junior members out representing the club and supporting other clubs and event 👏🏼

aRound4good results ⛳️

On Saturday we hosted aRound4good in support of men’s mental health. We had 195 players overall throughout the day. Thank you to Your Own Way and the other sponsors for the support of the day.

Congratulations to junior guns Tyler Elliott, Pat Hollow, Lachie & Nathan McGrath for winning the event with a score of 51.5 🏆🔥 runners up with 53.625 was Marty Fanning, Reed Dixon-Kitt, Brett & Darren Makings.

Thank you to all the players, staff, volunteers and organizers for the day.
