VALE Lasith Kulasekara

Today, we pause to remember and honour the life of Lasith Kulasekara, a valued member of the Victorian table tennis community.

Lasith was a dedicated player, coach and friend whose passion for table tennis touched the lives of many across our sport. His commitment to helping others, his love for the game and the positive impact he had on those around him will not be forgotten.

At just 23 years of age, Lasith's passing is a heartbreaking loss for our community. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family, friends, teammates, club and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him during this incredibly difficult time.

On behalf of everyone at Table Tennis Victoria, we extend our sincere sympathies to all who are mourning his loss.

Rest in peace, Lasith. You will be greatly missed.

SF2 - Epsom 6 defeated Jackass Flat 4 - Epsom goes to GF on Wednesday 24th June 7:00pm, Jackass Flat goes to PF Monday 22nd June 7:30pm

B Grade:
SF1 - Golden Square 6 defeated Epsom 4 - Golden Square goes to PF on Monday 22nd June 7:30pm, Epsom drops out.
SF2 - Kangaroo Flat 6 defeated Junortoun 1 - Kangaroo Flatgoes to GF on Wednesday 24th June 7:00pm, Junortoun goes to PF Monday 22nd June 7:30pm

C Grade:
SF1 - Splices 6 defeated Billabongs 4 - Splices goes to PF on Monday 22nd June 7:30pm, Billabongs drops out.
SF2 - Mr Whippy 6 defeated Choc Tops 5 - Mr Whippy goes to GF on Wednesday 24th June 7:00pm, Choc Tops goes to PF Monday 22nd June 7:30pm

Grand Final Note:
Being held on Wed 24th June, play starts at 7:00pm. Refreshments will be supplied by the club, no need to bring a plate.
Awards will be presented straight after the last game of the night.

Reminder:
To let your Grade Supervisor know if you will be playing (or not) next season (starts week commencing Mon 13th July).
Teams will be finalised within the next 10 days.
Encourage family and friends to come down and watch the remaining finals.

Update - For those that have asked the funeral for Alan will be a private ceremony.

It is with deep sadness that the club pass on the sad news of the passing of Alan Danton, 12 June 26 aged 90 yrs, a long-term member of Bendigo Table Tennis.

In Alan's younger years he had been the European Junior Champion. Seen here as the 2003 A Grade Doubles Champion. He is remembered as one of the very early users of those damn long pimples.
