Our grading test was held, and three students were promoted to Yellow & White Belt! 🎉🥋

They have challenged themselves in many areas they found difficult, and we are so proud of how much they have grown.

The ultimate purpose of Judo is character development through the practice of Judo. ✨

By continuing to build up these small successes, step by step, they will develop confidence that will become a strong foundation for their future.

Congratulations to all three of you! 🎉

Keep challenging yourselves, keep growing, and keep believing in yourselves! 🥋✨

We were very lucky to have Sensei Kaihan Takagi join us for training!🥋

Before the session started, Sensei Takagi showed the children the silver medal he recently won at the Commonwealth Games🥈

Training with a world-class judoka was such a valuable experience for the children, and I’m sure it will be a wonderful and unforgettable memory for them

Sensei Takagi, thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to come and train with our kids and share your knowledge and experience with them.

We truly appreciate your support! 🥋🙏

Three of our kids entered their very first competition!

With only one hour of practice a week and without a permanent mat area, these kids worked incredibly hard under limited conditions.

Facing their first tournament, competing one-on-one, and standing on the mat all by themselves must have been far more intimidating than anyone could imagine.

Before the matches, I told them two simple things: stay strong, keep moving forward, and most importantly, enjoy every moment.
As a result:
🥈 2 Silver Medallists
🥉 1 Bronze Medallist

I have 200% respect and heartfelt gratitude for these brave kids who stepped up to the challenge. I am so, so proud of how hard you all tried!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such an inspiring experience.

Let’s keep working hard and training together! 🥋✨

Judo club started one and a half years ago. Tomorrow, three of our members will compete in their very first tournament.
They’ve been working hard every week, training just once a week in a limited environment. Today, they gave it their all in their final practice before the tournament.
Tomorrow, most importantly, enjoy your first competition! 🥋✨

Training will continue during the school holidays

Today, IKKI JUDO JAPANESE CLUB proudly celebrates its 1st anniversary🎉

We are deeply grateful for all the support we have received since our very first training session on April 3, 2025.

Above all, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to the parents for entrusting us with their precious children and for their continued support, including bringing them to and from training each time.

We would also like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks to our sponsors who have supported our small and still-growing judo club.

As the first Japanese kids’ judo club established in Sydney, all of our instructors will continue to dedicate ourselves to the children with passion and care.

In our second year, our goal is for as many children as possible to take part in their very first competition.

We will continue to move forward with the dream that one day, an Australian champion will emerge from IKKI Judo Club.
