During a visit on his journey home to Queensland, Shihan Peter generously shared his passion, spirit and vast knowledge with us. It was an incredible opportunity to learn, be challenged and inspired by someone with such experience and dedication to karate.
A huge thank you, Shihan Peter, for sharing your knowledge and energy with us. We truly appreciate your time and look forward to putting your teachings into practice! π₯π

π₯ A True Team Effort
A huge thank you to Sempai Adam Pickworth for the countless hours of preparation, coaching, guidance and dedication invested into our competitors. Your knowledge and commitment in the lead-up to this event played a huge part in preparing our students for the challenge.
We also want to recognise all of our dojo members who supported our competitors throughout their preparation. Every training session, extra round, training partner, piece of encouragement and push to improve helped get our fighters ready. It takes a team!
A special thank you as well to the members and families who travelled down to support our competitors on the day. Having our dojo family in the crowd cheering them on created an incredible atmosphere and reminded our competitors that they were never alone.
We are also incredibly proud of our members who gave their time to referee throughout the tournament, contributing their knowledge and helping support the wider So-Kyokushin community.
π₯ What a Weekend!
With 4 Championship titles, 1 Runner-Up finish and countless lessons learned, it was an exceptional weekend for Hunter Valley Karate Dojo.
To everyone who competed, coached, trained, refereed, supported and encouraged β thank you. Every person played a part in this achievement.
One dojo. One team. One spirit.
